More Woodware samples

Evening All,

Another couple of cards which you might get to see on Jane's shows tomorrow.

As I have mentioned before on numerous occasions, I rarely know what a card is going to look like until I get to play.
Sometimes as I am working on one card,
an idea for a second card pops into my head.
And sometimes it might just be a colour combo
or some left over bits and pieces that are just too nice to waste.

There are all three possibilities in these cards using several stamps from this latest fabulous release by Jane for Woodware.

Do watch her shows tomorrow on Create and Craft if you get the chance. She is always coming up with fabulous ideas and demonstrations.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Big Bold Words

Afternoon,

Just got back from a nice walk around the aerodrome, it is so lovely to see a bit of sunshine.

Gwen is due back on the TV at 5.15, so here are the last of my samples using the Big Bold Word dies from Sue Wilson.
I love this HAPPY one, it is so useful and comes with several little words
which means that it can be used for pretty much any occasion including Birthday, Christmas and Anniversary.
I used various bits of background from my stash including this dry embossed panel.
Better make sure my box is set up to record Gwen, she always comes up with some fabulous ideas on her shows.
Thanks for stopping by.

Jane on the Box

 Morning All

Jane is on the TV today with two shows featuring her fabulous new stamp designs, and there are some real beauties amongst them.

Here are a couple of cards made using one of her beautiful designs JGS756 Scented Blooms.
I used Airless Misters and Watercolour Inks to create a piece of background on to which I stamped and embossed the floral image and then did a bit of extra colouring and fussy cutting.
This card was created in the same way on a piece of mop up background.
A bit of fussy cutting around part of the image as well as a hand drawn border.
Several of the larger floral designs have a single matching flower to co-ordinate with them.
So that is what I have used here along with a die cut background panel.
Jane's shows are at 10.30am and 4.30pm on Create and Craft so don't forget to set up your recorders.
Looking forward to watching.

Sam Poole Botanicals

 Afternoon All,

I hope that you are having a super Saturday. Maybe a little crafting is involved, or maybe you are just getting into the zone by watching some on the TV.

If you are looking for some crafty inspiration, you couldn't go far wrong with watching Sam Poole on Create and Craft this evening at 7.30pm.
Hers were some of the fabulous new products that I got to play with last weekend in preparation for todays shows.
They are a beautiful Botanical Collection of stamps including this butterfly collage.
There are also some dies that compliment the collection. One of them is a set of Tattered Tags which I also used on this card.
Of course no set of botanical stamps is complete without a butterfly, and there is a smaller one on the set with I used along with several more fussy cut from the collage design.
Don't forget to tune in and check out her lovely designs and inky inspiration.
Have a great afternoon. Stay safe and craft.

Beauty and the Bee

 Afternoon,

I'm taking a break from my DT samples to blog a card made with one of the stamps that the fabulous Jamie Rodgers has been playing with on Create and Craft today.

I love these amazing stamps from Designer Boutique under the umbrella of Creative Expressions, and I think this one might be one of my favourites. UMSDB034 Beauty and the Bee.
I stamped and embossed the large floral image on to a piece of blue cardstock and then coloured it in using the Summer Garden Iridescent watercolour paint pallet.
I stamped and embossed the sentiment from the set onto pale blue card using gold embossing powder and then fussy cut round it.
You've still got one last chance to catch the show at 8pm tonight,. It is well worth it as Jamie's demos are always brilliant.
Have a great evening.
Stay safe and hugs

A Spot of Black and White

Evening,

A couple of Black and White cards for you tonight using one of Jane's fabulous new stamp sets.

The Umbrella Grass was stamped embossed onto black cardstock and then a little Silver Chrome Glitter Kiss was used around the edges along with some Distress Oxide ink.

I do love a spotlight card and this one once again uses the Umbrella Grass and several colours of Distress Oxide inks.

BTW don't forget to watch Jane's shows on Create and Craft on Tuesday.

Thanks for stopping by.

Catch Gwen on the Box

 Evening Everyone,

Just a quick post tonight to remind you that the lovely Gwen Fletcher will be on Create and Craft tomorrow showcasing some new stamps from Designer Boutique.
They are beautiful stamps designed with DL cards in mind.
There is also a sentiment set designed to go with them.
As DT members we were asked if we had any ideas for sentiments that we would like added, so I asked for 'Have a very happy unbirthday' since you know how rubbish I am at getting cards sent out on time.
Guess what.........they obliged. How cool is that.
Thanks for stopping by.

Paper Panda Fall

 Evening

I hope you caught Suz fabulous shows on Create and Craft today using the amazing new stamps from Paper Panda at Creative Expressions.

I love these stamps, they have such beautiful detail, and are very unusual.
I think this leaf has to be my favourite.
I used it here with sticky embossing powder and gilding flakes.
The background is created with inks and an embossing folder, and then I added a sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by.

Jane Gill on TV

 Evening,

Just a quick reminder that the fabulous Jane Gill will be on Create and Craft tomorrow at 3.45pm and 6.45pm.

I managed to send a few cards to her for the shows, so here is a reminder of a couple of mine to look out for.

I've blogged them all before, so I will just share the pictures again.
Don't forget the clocks go back tonight, not that I think we need any extra hours in 2020.
I think most of us would be more than happy to see the back of this year.
Stay safe and big hugs

Paper Panda Apple Tree

Evening All,
Did you catch Gwen on Create and Craft TV today showcasing the new Paper Panda dies?
This lovely Apple Tree Die came in my August Goodie box as part of my Creative Expressions DT commitments.
I die cut the apple from both cream card which I coloured with chocolate bronze and golden olive gilding polish, and black glossy card which I used to create a shadow.
The background panel that I added the apple to was created by brayering white gesso onto cardstock, and then sponging it with Distress Oxide inks once it was dry.
I also cut the die from funky foam and chopped it up a little to create my own custom stamp to match the die. I then used this to stamp down the side of the green card panel using Versamark or Perfect Medium ink.
Part of my remit as DT member is to list all of the products that I have used for each card. This actually turned out to be very useful, since I had completely forgotten that I had used the Gilding Polishes on the die cut apple lol.
I took a photograph of my list so that I had a copy...... my goodness I must have had my sensible hat on that day lol.
Thanks for stopping by.

Magical Wishes with Designer Boutique

 Evening All,

Did you catch the lovely Suz on the TV yesterday showcasing Designer Boutique Floral stamps and Cosmic Shimmer Watercolour Inks?

Unfortunately they changed the times, so having set up my Sky box to record while I was at my daughters, I missed them all!!!

Never mind I'm sure that she was brilliant. I will have to see if I can find them on Catch Up.

So in the mean time here is a card that I made using one of these fabulous floral stamp sets.
This one is called Sweet Cherry and contains several stamps including this large floral spray,
and cute dragonfly.

The background to that card is made using an embossing folder and a couple of colours of Gilding Polish.
The sentiment that I added is actually from a Christmas set also in the Designer Boutique stamp range.
Why, oh why have they messed around with Blogger again??
I know I hate change, but if it ain't broke, why fix it? This has taken me twice as long as normal cause I can't find how to do things that were second nature before. Aaaaaaarg!!!
Have a great weekend.
Happy Crafting and hugs

Flowers in a Jar with Francoise

Hi All
I hope that you have all got your boxes set to record Francoise on the TV tomorrow at 9.45am, 2.15pm & 7.30pm on Create and Craft.
Now I may not have used the fabulous Cosmic Shimmer Watercolour inks that she is using on the show, for my cards, but I have used one of her stamps Flowers in a Jar.
I love this stamp.
I actually used it in a Christmas class at SirStampalot a couple of years ago.
We made mop up backgrounds with Distress Oxide inks
And then stamped, embossed and coloured on them.
This card uses a few die cut circles to create a Spotlight card.
And of course you don't have to throw out the waste,
that can be used to create another card.
You never waste anything as a crafter do you lol.
These last couple of cards use the same image
just stamped and embossed onto a piece of Alcohol resist background from another class that I was doing at the time.
You can get several lovely pale backgrounds using this technique
which I really must revisit again very soon.
Now don't forget to watch Francoise tomorrow. They really are fabulous products that she will be playing with, and she is always an inspiration with lots of inky techniques I'm sure.
Thanks for stopping by.
