A Mind to be Wild form Paper Panda

Evening Everyone,

Another lovely socially distanced get together this afternoon only this time we needed the gazebo to fend off a few spots of rain. Fortunately it didn't come to anything and we managed more lively discussion.

We are hoping to get together again in a couple of weeks time. Hopefully by then a few of us might have managed a haircut lol.

It was lovely to sit and hear the birds in the trees, in fact a newly erected bird box has already become occupied, which was lovely to watch.
Here are a couple of cards made using one of the fabulous stamp designs from Paper Panda called A Mind to be Wild. They make me think of sitting in the garden this afternoon.
They emboss beautifully, which unfortunately makes them hard to photograph. I couldn't manage one photograph without the light reflecting off the embossing.
I wonder what weather we will get tomorrow. One delightful soul at work today said that they had heard that we were in for snow next week!!!!!! I do hope that little snippet of information is wrong.
Thanks for stopping by.

She reminds me of Alice in Wonderland

 Evening All,

It's been another glorious day here, warm enough to go out for a walk without our coats this afternoon.

We went and met Mum from work again today, and the Girls were looking at all the spring flowers that we could see and were asking what they were all called. Quite a test of my knowledge, not that they would know if I got them wrong of course.

This lovely stamp from Paper Panda rather remind me of Alice in Wonderland,
and put me in mind of our nature walk today.
Another thing that they all enjoyed doing was watching Jennifer McGuire on Youtube. They sat on the bed with me this morning to watch on my computer, and then asked for it on the TV when we went downstairs. Definitely budding crafters in the making.
Emma has already made a list of the things for me to bring next time so that we can have fun with a gelli plate after she watched a couple of Jennifer's clips. I am looking forward to that and I think that she and Chloe will have a great time. I expect that even Jack will want to get in on the act as well.
I think the fresh air and sunshine did them the world of good today as they were all sound asleep pretty quickly. Mum however was less than impressed by all the people who came in to work and reminded her of how nice it was outside!!!
Let's hope that it continues with the nice weather tomorrow, we could certainly do with it to make us all feel better.
Thanks for stopping by.

So much easier than Fussy Cutting.

Afternoon All,

We have been having some crafty time at the Grandbabies today. There have been crayons and punches and some sort of gooey stuff that an Uncle gave them, but what ever it was, they all had fun.

And Mummy finally got to play too.

Like most of us crafters she has equipment that has never seen the light of day. Three small kids is not very conducive to anything other than washing, ironing, cooking, and, as she puts it, generally keeping them alive lol. So today we finally got around to letting Mummy play. I bought her a Scan and Cut a while ago, but she was becoming frustrated by it cause it didn't seem to want to play. After watching Melanie Heaton's brilliantly instructive 'Watch, Learn and Create' USB we have discovered that it was operator error and she is once again full of enthusiasm for her new toy.

Of course I can see me asking her to do some fussy cutting for me, cause it would certainly be a lot quicker and easier.
Of course I would have to forward plan rather well, given that I only get to see her once a fortnight, but it would certainly make cutting out some of those lovely LOTV and Lee Holland images a lot easier.
These cards tonight all have this fabulous leafy image from Paper Panda as the focal image on them. All fussy cut by yours truly I hasten to add lol.
I appear to be surrounded by several rather sleepy people after all their efforts this morning, so I think I had better get them to help me with dinner before it gets too late for a snooze. I'm sure that we would all like a decent nights sleep, and not one that starts at midnight :O)
Hope you are having a great day.
Happy Crafting and hugs.

For Someone Special this Fall

Evening Everyone,

Whenever I get sent stamps to make samples with, there is always one that stands out as a favourite. In the case of a recent release from Paper Panda through Creative Expressions, it was the beautiful Fall stamp.

I stamped and embossed it several times using a dark brown Versafine Clare ink pad and clear embossing powder to create the background for the card, as well as several more which I fussy cut to add the front of the card.
The autumn colours were added using Distress Oxide inks Crackling Campfire, Gathered Twigs and Forest Moss.
I layered the fussy cut leaves over a die cut circle frame and then added a sentiment.
I have several more cards made using this stamp and some steps for one of them, so I will try and get that sorted out for another post.
Thanks for stopping by,
Stay safe and hugs

May All of Your Wishes Come True

Evening,

May All of Your Wishes Come True.................... so may this bloody virus disappear so that we can all get back to some sort of normal.

Unfortunately I see no signs of that for the foreseeable future, and I am definitely not looking forward to being plunged in to another lockdown.

I am actually one of the lucky ones, in that I work in what is considered an essential service. I know I struggle with people not wearing masks, but I am still grateful for being out of the house for 8 hours each day, and for the fact that I get to see people..................no matter how annoying and inconsiderate they may be.

I made this card using one of the fabulous new Paper Panda stamps.
It definitely has an Alice in Wonderland vibe to it I think.
I teamed it with  some handmade background paper, an embossing folder, and a die cut sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by and putting up with my rantings lol.

Paper Panda Fall

 Evening

I hope you caught Suz fabulous shows on Create and Craft today using the amazing new stamps from Paper Panda at Creative Expressions.

I love these stamps, they have such beautiful detail, and are very unusual.
I think this leaf has to be my favourite.
I used it here with sticky embossing powder and gilding flakes.
The background is created with inks and an embossing folder, and then I added a sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by.

Magical Mother Nature

 Evening,

I was sent a fabulous new range of stamps to play with in my last DT box from Creative Expressions. They have been selling a range of Paper Panda dies for a little while, but now there is a stamp range as well and they are absolutely stunning.

I think this stamp CERPP001 Mother Nature is one of my favourites. I used a page out of an old book for the background and then stamped and embossed the image onto it in dark brown ink.
I sponged all over the panel with the same Versafine Claire Pinecone ink and then trimmed it using a square from the Scalloped Layered Dies set.
I added a sentiment from a Designer Boutique stamp set placing it so that the card
can be used as either a tent fold or side opening card.
You will be able to see Suz demoing these fabulous stamps on Create and Craft at the end of the month.
