Umbrella Grass by Jane

 Evening All,

Well, I may not have made many cards recently, but it would appear that I have blogged rather a lot! They don't go in to the drawer to be used until they have been blogged and completely finished off with envelopes and inserts. I know I'm really sad lol.

So here are a few more to add back into the finishing off box, now that I've emptied it.

This one was made with a piece of mop up background and a Meadow Frame Paper Panda die.

I used the same Umbrella Grass stamp designed by Jane Gill on this left over piece of background created using Pixie Powders.

I added some extra little dots and a faux stitched border to the panel.

This final card uses another piece of Pixie Powder background and the negative space from a favourite die cut sentiment.

Paper Panda Meadow Frame Die

Evening Everyone, 

I finally got to see my lovely Mum today after what seems like forever. I have managed to see her through the window a couple of times, but it's just not the same. Unfortunately the weather wasn't very kind so we had to sit with the doors wide open and our masks on but that didn't matter I got to see her. I took her a goody bag of her favourite bits and pieces so that she can indulge herself with my love. She had a little M&S apple crumble for her pudding tonight and has her eyes on the rice pudding next. I know how to treat a girl lol.

Mum's garden is a little wild in places, although my brother has made a start on taming some of it, so I thought that this card was a perfect post for today.

It has been created using the fabulous Paper Panda Meadow Frame die CEDPP024.

The background panel has been stamped with a white pigment ink pad and JGS760 Lily Sketch, and then sponged with Cosmic Shimmer Colour Clouds inks Bright Sunshine, Tangy Tangerine and Purple Paradise. The white ink acts as a resist allowing the stamped images to show through.

I stamped over the top of this panel with the same stamp and white ink before adding the Meadow Frame die cut from white card stock.

I added matts and layers to the panel and a sentiment strip.

Under the Gazebo

Evening Everyone,

What a glorious day. Some of the 'Crafties' and I have just spent several wonderful hours in Davina's garden drinking tea and coffee, eating cake and biscuits and of course setting the world to rights as only a bunch of women can lol. The gazebo actually came in very handy. Not to keep off the rain, but to stop us all from getting sunstroke.................how wonderful for a March afternoon.

We actually talked very little about crafting, it was just so lovely to see everyone around the table again. Just like old times.

Today also saw the launch of some fabulous new dies from Paper Panda, and I was lucky enough to get to play with one of them Meadow Frame.

I used another of Jane's fabulous stamp designs and some mopped up ink from my spray box.

I used some of the trimmed pieces to die cut flowers which I added to the bottom of the panel.

I love the dramatic look the black die cut frame gives to the card.

Mop up background is fabulous for die cutting flowers. No two are ever the same, just like flowers in nature.

This is another card using the same die cut frame and another of Jane's lovely floral designs.

I do hope that this wonderful sunshine lasts for a few more days, we all feel so much better when the sun is shining.

At the very least let it be sunny tomorrow so that the rest of the 'Crafties' can get together under the gazebo.

A Hummingbird in the Honeysuckle

 Evening,

A quick post tonight, it's been a long day with a few unexpected extra hours back at work.

This is another of the cards that I made using the latest release from Paper Panda.

I diecut the Hummingbird design form dark brown cardstock

and added it to a piece of 'Mop Up' background cut into a circle and layered over more dark brown card.

I die cut the hummingbird several times and stacked them for added dimension.

I also added more of the honeysuckle around the outer edges of the panel.

It is a beautifully intricate die.

A Country Cottage

 Evening,
Another card using one of the new Paper Panda dies tonight.

I've told you before that I hate to waste anything, so I have started to keep a piece of plain rice paper on my desk to pick up any inks left over on my craft sheet. This was a tip courtesy of Leonie on Hochanda.

Once it has dried I add it to a sheet of sticker paper and then I can use it as background paper.

For this card I die cut the die from black cardstock and added it on to a circle of the handmade background.

For the card base I embossed another square of black card using a 3D embossing folder from Creative Expressions. I also added Lavender Blue Opal polish and Ocean Teal Gilding Polish to highlight the embossing.

Paper Panda Apple Tree

Evening All,
Did you catch Gwen on Create and Craft TV today showcasing the new Paper Panda dies?

This lovely Apple Tree Die came in my August Goodie box as part of my Creative Expressions DT commitments.

I die cut the apple from both cream card which I coloured with chocolate bronze and golden olive gilding polish, and black glossy card which I used to create a shadow.

The background panel that I added the apple to was created by brayering white gesso onto cardstock, and then sponging it with Distress Oxide inks once it was dry.

I also cut the die from funky foam and chopped it up a little to create my own custom stamp to match the die. I then used this to stamp down the side of the green card panel using Versamark or Perfect Medium ink.
Part of my remit as DT member is to list all of the products that I have used for each card. This actually turned out to be very useful, since I had completely forgotten that I had used the Gilding Polishes on the die cut apple lol.

I took a photograph of my list so that I had a copy...... my goodness I must have had my sensible hat on that day lol.

Merry Christmas from Paper Panda

Evening All,

Amongst the items that I was sent to play with last month was a new Christmas die from Paper Panda which launched yesterday.

They are beautifully detailed dies and this particular one makes quite a quick card. 

I used a piece of mop up background from my stash to die cut the image once, 

and then die cut it again from black cardstock. 

I used a piece of DSST on the back of the pieces left in the die after the diecut is removed, and then carefully placed the black die cut image back into place. It's a lot easier to do, than to explain lol.

This left me with the image diecut from the mop up background. I added it to some purple cardstock, but I didn't like it very much so I added another diecut on top, this time cut from black card. 

I slightly off set the image to give a drop shadow.

This time I used a piece of background from my stash and the die cut from white cardstock. I also cut it from black and just used the sentiments and some of the birds over the top of the white image. 

Same as before only this time I cut the image from gold cardstock and didn't layer up so many of the birds.
