Wishing You a Blue Christmas

 Evening All,

Having bombarded you with a very picture heavy post yesterday, I thought that I would give you a break and share just one Christmas card with you tonight.

I have used a beautifully fine detailed Christmas Tree stamp from Magnolia that I bought at SirStampalot. It seems absolutely ages ago now.
I stamped and white embossed the tree onto a piece of blue mop up background and then die cut it with a circle die. I painted some of the baubles with bleach to remove some colour and also added some extra blue to other baubles.
I had stamped the image too far to the edge of the card to be able to cut a complete circle all the way round, so I decided to make a feature of it. It's never a mistake, it's always an opportunity as the lovely Julie Hickey taught me.
Finally I mounted the panel onto a piece of black card stock that has been dry embossed using an embossing folder. I also added some silver glitter kiss to highlight the sentiments on the embossing folder.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope that you have a wonderful weekend.
Stay safe and craft.

Its Playtime.

 Afternoon,

As I told you yesterday I am still on the DT for Creative Expressions, and today I received a fabulous parcel of stamps and dies to play with for Sam Poole's show on Create and Craft next week.

I haven't done anything crafty for weeks so this is just the spur that I need to get me going again.

In the mean time here is another Designer Boutique card made for Creative Expressions.

I added Peeled Paint, Forest Moss and Faded Jeans Distress inks to a long rectangular acrylic block before spritzing it with a little water and stamping it on to watercolour card stock.
Once dry stamp and emboss UMSDB036 Twilight Grazing  onto the watercolour background and trim. Also add a sentiment from USMDB042 Sending Love stamp set.
I added some Brushed Corduroy distress ink around the edges and then mounted the panel onto black card.
The card base has a panel of black cardstock covered in Golden Olive and Chocolate Bronze gilding polish. I then embossed it using EF043 Leafy Montage and added some Golden Sand Glitter Kiss.
I love these fabulous solid style images from Designer Boutique, they are just my thing.
Need to go and play now...................wow haven't said that in a long time.
Thanks for stopping by.

A Spot of Black and White

Evening,

A couple of Black and White cards for you tonight using one of Jane's fabulous new stamp sets.

The Umbrella Grass was stamped embossed onto black cardstock and then a little Silver Chrome Glitter Kiss was used around the edges along with some Distress Oxide ink.

I do love a spotlight card and this one once again uses the Umbrella Grass and several colours of Distress Oxide inks.

BTW don't forget to watch Jane's shows on Create and Craft on Tuesday.

Thanks for stopping by.

Wild Garden

 Evening All,

Nearly the end of another week, thank goodness.

I have noticed that Embossing Folders seem to have become more popular just recently, especially 3D ones.

I must admit that I seem to have been using mine much more often recently.

They are a great way to enhance your card, and there are so many beautiful folders around these days.
I used one in the background on this card that I made using one of Jane's new stamp designs JGS740 Wild Garden.
I created my own background paper and then stamped and embossed the wild garden image on to it.
I added Golden Sand Glitter Kiss to the brown card which shows up all of the beautiful detail of the embossing folder.
I am definitely loving using all these wonderful Creative Expressions products that I get to play with as part of the DT.
And here's a card I made using the same stamp and a piece of 'mop up' background.
Thanks for stopping by.

Andy Skinner Stencilled Dove

Evening Everyone,
I had a lovely day today with a rather unexpected visit to see my Mum, so no crafting, but who cares, I got to put a smile on a lovely ladies face.
My card tonight uses the wonderful Andy Skinner Dove Stencil that formed part of my box of goodies from Creative Expressions this month.
The background is created with Airless Mister Sprays, and then I ran it through my embossing machine with the stencil and a baby wipe over the top of it. A technique that I picked up from the fabulous Jennifer McGuire.
The baby wipe removes some of the ink and then with the stencil still in place I added some of the Golden Sand Glitter Kiss which has become a firm favourite with me.
Off to bed now which is very early for me. I've had a phone call from my Boss asking me to start work at 4am tomorrow, so I had better try and get some sleep which may prove a little tricky.
Thanks for stopping by. Please don't forget Jamie's shows tomorrow on Create and Craft using Sue Wilson Festive dies.
Stay safe and hugs

Glitter Kissed Snowflakes

Evening Everyone,
I hope that you have had a great day. We managed another fabulous socially distanced get together at Davina's, despite the rather dull and miserable start to the day.
I took along a couple of crafty bits for us to do, but we ended up talking for England instead which was just as fun.
I couldn't show them the actual samples for Jane's shows on Tuesday, as they arrived safely in the post this morning, but I was able to show them some pictures.
Not quite the same I know, but they have all agreed that they want to play with Christmas as soon as we can get together again.
This card uses one of Jane's Lino Cut designs and a bit of triple embossing.
The snow flake is a die designed by Sue Wilson that will also be on the show.
Having die cut some for the background of the first card I had one left over...…...you know the rest lol.
The die set also contains a couple of smaller snowflakes which I stacked in the middle of the large one.
The background to this card has been created using one of the smaller designs from another of the stamp sets. I used it with versamark inkpad and then added tiny dots of white gelli roll glaze pen.
I added a little bit of sparkle to both cards with Golden Sand Glitter Kiss. Well you have to have some sparkle at Christmas don't you.
Better get to bed. I hadn't realized how late it was, it stays light for such a long time, although I suppose we are slowly heading away from that now that we have passed 21st June.
Stay safe, and thanks for stopping by.
