Happy Anniversary Sue and Charles

Evening Everyone,
Where on earth do all the years go to?
I had a very special request for a card just recently.
Like a blast from the past, I was contacted by one of the children that I used to look after (25 odd years as a childminder) who asked me if I could make a card for her parents 30th Wedding Anniversary.
30 is pearl, so she wanted a card with a large 30 on it, and plenty of pearls.

I created an easel card, which always makes a statement and added plenty of pearl spray to some pale background paper, along with some die cut flowers.
I added their names using Altenew die cut letters and a Creative Expression sentiment.
Their anniversary is today, so I think that I should be safe enough to share this, especially as it is sooooo late in the day lol.
Thanks for stopping by.

Festive Circle on the TV

Evening Everyone,
Oh Boy, another scorcher. Time to cool it down with a nice Christmas card.
This is one of the cards that I made for Jane's show on Create and Craft tomorrow.
I stamped on to red card with a versamark ink pad and then added gold, silver and copper embossing powders.
I also stamped it again on black card and this time embossed with Fools Gold embossing powder.
I fussy cut some of the trees and added them to the circular panel and then also cut out a couple of triangles from the left overs as well as stamping and embossing a couple of the single trees from the stamp set.
Of  course you need some snow at Christmas, so I added some of the fabulous Fluffy Stuff and then heated it to 'puff' it up.
Don't forget to tune in tomorrow for Jane's shows at 12.45 and 6.45 on Create and Craft.
Thanks for stopping by.

Moonlit Gathering

Evening Everyone,
Another lovely evening for a walk in the park, if only it looked like this fabulous stamp from the Designer Boutique stamp range from Creative Expressions.
How lovely it would be to see a stag walking majestically through the woods.

There is so much detail in this fabulous stamp. A squirrel running up the trunk of the pine tree, a pair of birds in the branches,
and an owl, as well as a couple of bunnies, along with all the dear of course.
The same stamp, this time embossed with a combination of gold, silver and copper embossing powders.
I hope that you caught the shows with Suz Humphries on Create and Craft on Monday, I think that you can get them on catch up, for 7 days, if you missed them.
Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday Emma

Evening Everyone.
Today a special young lady turned 5.
Seriously where did all those years go to?
I remember her birth like it was yesterday.
I picked this fabulous digi from Polkadoodles which looks so cute, just like Emma.
I used a butterfly background stamp which I white embossed onto a piece of pink card from my stash.
I also chose the image because of the butterflies. Emma had a butterfly house that she looked after during lockdown.
The alphabet dies are from Altenew and I cut them several times and stacked them for added dimension.
As I had half the butterfly panel left over I printed out another, slightly smaller image, and made another card to add to my stash.
We all went for a bike ride this afternoon and then had cake with the Birthday Girl which was lovely.
Thanks for stopping by.

Designer Boutique Baubles

Evening Everyone,
I hope you caught Suz fabulous shows on Create and Craft today featuring the wonderful Designer Boutique stamp sets.
I think this bauble one is one of my favourites.
I have used it here on a bit of handmade background paper and then painted the baubles with watercolour Mica paints.
This card was created using the stamping platform/Misti.
I first inked the image with brown distress oxide ink and spritzed it with water.
I stamped it on to watercolour card stock that was also sprayed with water. Once I had dried this image I stamped again with a brown Versafine Claire ink and embossed the image. Once again I painted with watercolour mica paints.
This card was made using ink sprays over an embossed image.
I had to remake the card to do a step by step tutorial for Creative Expressions, and as you can see no two cards are the same when you work with inks and dies lol.
I've got an early morning trip to the post office tomorrow with samples for Jane's next show on Friday, so I had better get to bed.
Thanks for stopping by.

Potter numbers 1,2,and 3

Evening Everyone,
My family are convinced that I am the only person left on the planet who hasn't watched a Harry Potter film.
My littlest Grandchildren changed all of that over the weekend, when we managed to watch the first couple of 'Potters' as Chloe calls them.
I loved all the postal owls in the first film, so I thought that it made the perfect opportunity to share a card that I made a while ago using an owl stamp designed by Jane Gill for Woodware.
I stamped and embossed the owl onto a piece of watercolour cardstock and dropped colour onto it having made the card stock very wet.
Once it was dry I added more colour to specific parts of the image.
The background is a piece of 'Bleedin Art Tissue' stuck onto DSST and then highlighted with gold gilding wax.
I added some black die cut branches and a few fussy cut stamped leaves.
Emma and I stayed at home while Mum did the shopping with the little ones this afternoon so I managed a third Potter. I am now cool according to Saskia, one of my older Grandchildren, although she did feel that I should have watched Mulan which has always been our go to babysitting movie.
Isn't it funny how little traditions stick in kids minds even when they grow up. It's lovely that they have fond memories of our time spent watching the film eating ice cream and chocolate.

Let's paint Mermaids

Evening Everyone,
It's been a wet day today, which hasn't stopped us going out for a couple of walks, but it has stopped the kids playing outside, so Becki decided to let them paint.
The Girls have been making mermaids during lockdown.
There has been quite a lot of papier mache involved,
but it all needs to be painted white before the Girls can paint them in all their pretty colours.
Of course Jack didn't want to be left out,
although I think his face and ears got as much paint as the paper.
At the end of the day they all had fun, and the mermaids are a step closer to being finished.
Thanks for stopping by.

Thank you, thank you xx

Evening Everyone,
I'm sorry I've got no time for a post tonight.
Who knew how long it would take me to reply to all the lovely people that have responded, so far to my plea for help yesterday.
I can't believe how many replies I have had in just one day. At this rate we should be well on course for making my Mum's special birthday even more special.
Thank you all once again.

I Need Your Help Please

Evening Everyone,
I would like to ask you all a huge favour.
My lovely Mum will be 90 on the 15th of August and I would like your help to make her day as memorable as possible.
(A visit from the littlest Grandchildren during lockdown)
We were planning a big family get together, but as this is still no longer possible I would like to help her celebrate and make the day as special as she is.
I was wondering if you could send her a birthday card. It would be wonderful if she could receive 90 cards on her very special 90th birthday.
She loves to keep in touch with people by letter, so I know that she would be thrilled to get a big pile of post to open.
If you do feel that you can help me out, then please pm me and I will give you my address so that we can mark Mums special day in style.
Thank you in advance for your kindness. I really do appreciate it and I know that my Mum will be thrilled to bits.
Thanks again and big hugs

Make a Wish in Black and White

Evening All,
Another card using the lovely Make a Wish stamp set from Designer Boutique.
There is always one particular stamp in a new release that becomes a favourite, even if you are not supposed to have favourites.
I create the background panel using Distress Oxides and watercolour card stock.
I stamped and embossed in black Versafine Claire ink for the focal image and then added some sheer ribbon and a sentiment panel.
Thanks for stopping by.
