Evening,
Sorry another late post but I really have been a busy girl, and I don't seem to get a look in on the computer either till everyone has gone to bed lol.
I've had some lovely comments from people who have seen my cards on the TV so it seems appropriate to share one of them with you this evening.
This was made with the Clarity Wired Heart and has been stamped into several layers of UTEE. I have also used it in the background, stamped and embossed gold on gold.
Better stop now, another early start in the morning.
Hope you had a good weekend.

A little bird told me
Hi All
Another quick post I'm afraid just to remind you that Barbara will be on the TV tomorrow with THREE HOURS of wonderful card making ideas.
These cards were all made a while ago using Clarity stamps, but I never got to share them.
I have been busy again trying to keep on top of everything so I will try and blog again tomorrow.
Don't forget the shows Create and Craft channel 761 at 10am - 12pm and then again at 3pm - 4pm. Barbara thinks she might even be on the Tool shed show in between, so tomorrow could well be wall to wall Barbara Grey. Enjoy!!
Goodnight All

For a special person
Evening
Talk about leave it till the last minute.
Yesterday my boss asked me if I could make him a card for his daughter's 7th birthday. No problem, when's it for I ask? Friday came the reply!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So this is what I did with yesterday evening after my class at Davina's was cancelled, which was probably quite fortuitous.
Cards always look that little bit more special when they are made as an easel don't you think. And this Magnolia Princess was just perfect. I love her.
Of course a card for a small person is never complete unless it has their name on so my shrink plastic got an airing again.
Sorry this is a little rushed, I will try a little better tomorrow.
Have a good evening.
With love and hugs to you all

Grasses I prepared earlier.
Evening Everyone,
I've delivered my cards, had my cup of coffee, and because I can't share them at the moment I guess it is the perfect opportunity for one of those 'And here's one I prepared earlier' moments lol.
This was actually made way back last year when the grasses stamp first appeared on the TV. Some how I never got around to sharing the cards with you, so here goes.
This is another one in the same style. I hope my latest photos are better than these - maybe that's why I didn't share before.
By the way I'm not a millionaire, maybe I'll have better luck next time. No wonder I don't buy a ticket very often, I never seem to win anything.
Off to bed, it's got late again.

Say it in Sepia
Evening Everyone,
The homework is finished, both mine and my Granddaughter's, so I thought that I would pop back briefly and share another card with you. Two posts in one day, I haven't managed that in a long time lol.
This card was actually made for Jenny at Hobby Art for one of her TV shows, but the girls at Davina's liked it so much that they asked to do it in a class, so that is what we will be doing on Wednesday.
I might have to change the background paper as I'm not sure whether I have any more of this, (it was from my stash. That's the beauty of making cards for the TV I can pretty much use what ever I want when it comes to papers) Still I'm sure that I can find something to use. And of course I will have to make another couple of cards, so I guess that's tomorrow evening sorted.
I have finished all the cards for Barbara so my friend Suu and I will be off on our road trip tomorrow afternoon to deliver them. I expect they will be busy unloading after the show in Stevenage so we won't stop for long, still I'm good at making the tea.
Must close now, I didn't realize how late it was.
Nite nite.
Love and hugs

Just for you Mum
Hi All
No I haven't been missing because I won the lottery, although to be honest I haven't even checked my number yet, I have been swamped under a mountain of cards I've been making for Barbara's TV show next weekend and my Granddaughter had the laptop to do her homework.
So I thought that I would steal it back briefly to share the card that I sent my Mum. I always send her a card for things like my Dad's birthday just to show that he and of course she are always in our thoughts. Not that she needs reminding but I hope it helps.
This card was made using my favourite Hobby Art clear stamp set Just for You stamped and embossed onto background papers.
The central images are cut from paper which has also been spritzed with glimmer mist. For once I think you can actually see it in the photograph.
I think you can probably see a circular theme running through the last couple of posts lol.
Better get back to the samples now, I need to deliver them to Barbara tomorrow.
Perhaps I'll get the chance to pop back later, if the homework is finished of course.
Have a great day.
Happy Crafting

For my Dad
Hi All
Today would have been my Dad's 88th birthday.
Isn't it funny how you have particular associations with people, I suppose that a lot of it has to do with the time of year their birthday falls.
With my Dad I always think of the clump of snowdrops at the end of the drive.
They nestled in, sheltered by shrubbery and are always a welcome sign that spring is here. They are also, to this day known as 'Dad's Snowdrops', even though he passed away 9 years ago.
It seems strangely appropriate then that one of the cards that I made for Jenny at Hobby Art has 'Dad's Snowdrops' as the central theme.
I know it says Happy Mothers Day, but I think Dad would have had a bit of a laugh about that lol.
The snowdrops have been stamped and embossed onto a piece of handmade background paper made from spritzed glimmer mists and then cut out with nestabilities.
My Mum text me this morning to say that Dad's snowdrops are coming up again. As she put it ' A gentle reminder that he's still around, as if we needed one!'
I bought a lottery ticket for tonight, lets hope he's looking out for me with that :)
Hope you have a good evening. Raise a glass to Dad for me.
Love and hugs

As seen on TV
Evening Everyone,
I thought that you might like a little more of a close up of one of the cards that I made for Hobby Art Jenny's last TV show.
This is actually made using just one of the stamps from the Woodland Scenes clear stamps set.
I have to be honest and say that the Scene-it style sets are always the ones that I find most difficult to work with, not because I don't like them, but because I need to see what can be done with them first. But there is always something there that sparks an idea, and in this case it was a nice little floral corner.
Of course my Cuttlebug and Nestabilities found there way in there, as did some dye based inks to colour with. The greeting is from another of the stamps sets on the show Sentiments.
Better get to bed, another Friday is looming. I can't believe how quickly they keep coming round.
Sleep well
Love and hugs

Thank you........
Evening Everyone
Just a quick post tonight.
This card was made to display at the last show at Sandown, where I was demoing for Lavender Lane.
It has been made using the embossed resist technique, dye based inks and of course the Hobby Art Floral Sketch set, my second favourite clear stamp set.
Hope you like it.
Off to bed now, although this is really quite early for me.
Have a good night.

More Diamonds - Just for you
Hi
I hadn't realized just how many of my cards I haven't shared with you, until I was flicking through photos of them looking for a specific one.
In particular there seem to be lots that I have made for Barbara and Jenny during the year. These always have to be saved until the TV show airs, and then of course by then other things have been done and so I never seem to catch up.
There are probably enough to share for the rest of the year, even if I never made another one and I can't quite see that happening any time soon. I am a card making stampaholic after all lol.
So I guess that I had better get blogging.
The two cards this evening were made for the Dazzling Diamonds class on Saturday at Lavender Lane. They are both made using the embossed resist technique, dye based inks and clear stamps from Hobby Art.
I can see a bit of a blue colour theme here, I did use other colours honest.
I'll try and pop back again soon.

Dazzling Diamonds
Hi All
A bit later in the day than I had planned, but I've been a busy bunny.
As promised here are a couple of the cards that we made yesterday in the Dazzling diamonds class at Lavender Lane.
It was a very full class, so it was a bit of a 'Battle of the Bums' to get to the embossing station, but I think they all had a good time.
Gill was there so the coffee flowed freely, as did the conversation, she's always good for a laugh.
By the way, I really must thank her for putting me up at 'Chez Till' when I was demoing at the show in Sandown. Hopefully I wasn't too bad a house guest and the landlord will let me stay again at the end of next month for the show at Farnborough.
The cards all use the wonderful clear stamp set by Hobby Art Anna's Collection - Just for You. Unfortunately the dazzle doesn't show up very well in the photos but it is there I can assure you.
As I said I've been very busy. The next magazine project had to be finished as well as an Anniversary card for a friend at work to send. I'm obviously in diamond mode but I think it fits the bill quite nicely. Oh and I also made 7 Christmas cards, how sad is that lol.
Hope you've had a good weekend.
Better get things ready for work tomorrow.

I'm back in the magazines.
Evening Everyone,
Well there I was all ready to blog about the classes that I taught today at Lavender Lane, when I got home to find the latest copy of Craft Stamper had arrived.
Months ago Janice from Sir Stampalot asked me if I would like to create a card for the Ideas Gallery in Craft Stamper magazine (March 2011 edition page 37). It seems so long ago now since magazines obviously have to plan their layouts several months in advance.
There was a very specific colour scheme for the gallery, as well as a theme which in this case was 'Images of Women'. It was quite a challenge being made to use certain colours, but a very enjoyable one none the less.
The card uses Vogue Silhouette (Stamps Happen 90415) as well as Inspire (Art Impressions E2555). Trust the magazine to get the code wrong for this one lol. They also spelt my name wrong, so what can I say !!!!!
As you can see my favourite Swirl Flourish (Magnolia X1321) just had to find its way in there, as did plenty of silicone glue.
All the items used on the card are available from Sir Stampalot so don't forget to check out their website.
I can see this means that I will have to be a good girl and blog again tomorrow, so watch this space.
In the mean time I had better get back to the card making, lots to do.
By the way Gilly, yes I did have to make a box for this one.....sorry :)
Happy Crafting.

My Hobby Art samples on TV
Hi All,
Sorry I've been missing from blog land for a while, but I've been so busy, and then I keep forgetting to take photos and they are just so much better taken in daylight.
I finally got round it this morning when I had to take some cards to work with me so that Anna could collect and deliver them to Jenny at Hobby Art for the TV.
The light wasn't too bad in the staff room, and I borrowed a bunch of flowers as a background. Much better than a plain piece of card laid on my bed lol.
Anyway, this is one of the cards that I made for the show at Sandown last weekend, and I have loaned it to Jenny, along with several other samples, for her TV appearances tomorrow.
Her show is scheduled for Friday 28th January at 9am on Create and Craft channel 671, but I am told that she is now also doing a further show at 1pm.
Anna tells me that Jenny is hoping to do different things on each show.
This card uses a Hobby Art clear stamp set Anna's Collection - Just for You.
This really has to be one of my absolute favourite sets, I just love the large and small flowers that I have used here. The greeting is taken from another of the clear sets Greetings - clear set.
I have used a stamped resist technique which I will be teaching on Saturday at Lavender Lane.
Don't forget to watch the shows, I've set my sky box to record already.

A snail and some toadstools
Evening Everyone,
Last night I taught my first class in what seems like forever.
It was so nice to catch up with everyone, even if there were only a few of us. I missed out on my mince pie with them before Christmas so I took M&S Chocochino muffins instead - very nice. Well I have been really good all week.
I have had real trouble trying to decide what card to share with you this evening. In the end I decided on the Snail and Toadstool card that I made for one of Barbara's TV shows.
I have stamped and embossed the main image using white embossing powder, and then I have coloured it using dye based inks.
I'm afraid the photos are not up to much as they were taken indoors in a bit of a rush, but I hope that at least they give you an idea.
Happy Crafting.

Happy 1st Birthday
Afternoon Everyone,
I'm on a roll now :) I'm off to class soon so I had better make this a quick post.
I was asked to make this birthday card for a little girls 1st birthday. I hope she likes it.
The hedgehog is by Penny Black and is called a Gift for You 1447H. The circular greeting is from Personal Impressions clear stamp set All Year Round and was designed by my friend Paula Pascual. The number is not from that set. Of course my favourite Magnolia swirl made it in there too.
The flowers and chandelier are all from Sir Stampalot as are the nestabilities.
I'm afraid I don't have any info on the other greeting stamp. As I told you before I'm being a good girl and using things from my numerous 'bits boxes'.
On that note I made my first Christmas card last night - how good am I. It can't last lol.
Bye for now my dinner is calling me.
Have a good evening.
Love and hugs

Patient Mummies
Evening All, I hope that you have all had a good day.
I really liked this 'Mummy' stamp when I first saw it, but as I don't really do Halloween I gave it a miss, well you do have to draw the line sometimes don't you lol.
Then I saw a card made by Mandy G and a whole new world of possibilities opened up.
It became a most appropriate stamp when I needed to make a card for my youngest daughter Becki who has just started her nursing placement on a surgical ward.
I do hope that she doesn't get chased through the wards, Zombie like, by her patients, although as she has always had a liking for horror movies I'm sure it wouldn't phase her in the slightest.
There wasn't much to paint, so I added colour with the card stock and flowers. Very blood and bandages I know, but as B pointed out it will go with her bedroom, also black and red !!!!!!!!!!!
It's amazing what you can find when you rummage through your bits box - who knew that I had a nurses cap lurking in the bottom of a box.
The stamps Mummy Edwin and Good Luck are both by Magnolia and are available from Sir Stampalot, as is the Martha Stewart punch and black flower. All of the other bits and pieces are from my stash.
I can't believe this, four posts in three days, I'm not sure if I can keep this up but I will certainly try.
Better go now or I won't get anything else done.
Love and hugs

Another Poppy
Evening All
Well that settles it, going to work is definitely bad for me!!
I started coughing again as soon as I got to work this morning. I can't believe it as I hardly coughed at all over the weekend, maybe it's the air-con.
Oh well, at least I have still felt creative.
I managed to get a couple of special cards made but I didn't get the chance to photograph them so I'm afraid it will have to be another Poppy card for Wednesdays class.
This one uses white card, pearl acrylic paint and dye based inks for the main panel.
The poppy has been coloured using the dye based inks and the chequered pattern in the background has been achieved with versamark and powdered pearlex.
All stamps are by Hobby Art.
Will try and take some photographs tomorrow so watch this space!
Nite, nite.

Mother of Pearl Poppies
Evening All
At last - some crafting mojo has finally resurfaced, so I'm making the most of it before it disappears again.
I made myself a list of all the things that I have to do for January, and then I've started to wade my way through it. I've even got all the birthday cards ready for this month, I just need to put the adresses on them - how impressed are you :)
I'm teaching at Davina's on Wednesday, weather permitting that is.
I've been trying to do this class since last month, so it seemed sensible to make another couple of samples to remind myself of what I'm doing.
The only trouble with being prepared too far in advance is that you end up forgetting to take things with you to class, so I find it better to be a bit more last minute - well that's my excuse anyway and I'm sticking to it lol.
All of these samples use black glossy card stock for the Faux Mother of Pearl technique. They also use stamps by Hobby Art, and Martha Stewart punches.
I know they are all very similar, but I thought you might like to see them anyway.
Better get to bed now it's back to work tomorrow morning early.
Hope you had a productive weekend as well.
Love and hugs

Are you watching Clarity?
Morning Everyone
I hope you are all having a good weekend.
I had meant to post this reminder a whole lot earlier, but the best laid plans......as they say.
Anyway, if you are quick you can catch the last hour of Barbara Grey on Create and Craft channel 671.
Unfortunately I haven't been well and so I didn't get these cards to her, but I thought that you would like to see them anyway.
Hope to post again later.

This one has been made using the leaf stamp that comes with the silver birches used in the previous card.
I must get on now while I have a bit of a creative urge, it has been seriously lacking lately.Hope to post again later.

A very belated birthday
Hi, a very belated Happy New Year to you All.
If anyone finds my mojo please return it to me please as it seems to have gone astray. Perhaps I posted it along with all the Christmas cards lol.
I still seem to be suffering with this coldy fluey thing that I've had since November - I'm totally bored with it now, and if anyone else tells me that it's going to snow again I think I shall scream.
I have finally managed to make a very belated birthday card for a special young man, my Grandson Reece.
His birthday was on the 16th December, but I was feeling so rough that it just never happened. I know Vix, I'm a bad Mam-ma, you got your card before he did :)
I made it with some lovely pre-coloured images that I bought from Lily of the Valley. The little boy on his PlayStation is very definitely Reece, although the hair colour is much more like his little brother Ciaran.
So these two reminded me of the boys, they like milk and cookies too.
I have had to let Barbara down this time for her TV show, which is on Sunday, but I did manage to come through for her in the snow for last month so I hope she won't hold it against me.
Better get to bed now, this is the latest I've been up in a long while.
Nite Nite
