Pretty in Pink for the Moonwalk

Evening,
I decided at the end of last year that my daughter and I were going to do the Moonwalk again.
We did it in 2018, and thoroughly enjoyed it, such a brilliant atmosphere.
So now I have finally gotton around to signing up. We are hoping that my other daughter, and eldest Grandchild will join us, but there is no backing out for the two of us now lol.
I figured that I needed a nice pink card for tonights blogpost and so here is one with some stamping done in bleach on the pink background.
I coloured and fussy cut a floral element to add to the sentiment.
I used the bleach stamped left over strip on this card,
with another slightly larger fussy cut floral element.
Now that we have signed up to the Moonwalk they will be sending a Training Plan to help us get in shape before 20th May. It seems such a long way away, but given that we start February tomorrow it will be on us before we know it.
If you would feel able to sponsor me HERE I would be extremely grateful. I think we all have someone in our lives that is, or has been affected by this dreadful disease.
This is a picture of my daughter Becki and myself when we participated in 2018.
Thanks for stopping by.

Sending Love and Hugs

Afternoon,

I'm sending Love and Hugs to my Mum and siblings today on the 21st Anniversary of the death of My Dad. I can't believe where the time has gone, it seems like only yesterday!!

The background to this card is created using a stencil and paste.
It was actually the paste left on the stencil after a previous use.
It seemed much too good to waste so I lay the stencil on a piece of purple card and used a baby wipe to clean the stencil, which transferred the paste to the cardstock.
I also added a little mica spray and then some Altenew flowers and foliage which had also been coloured using layering stencils.
The second card also has a stencil and paste background,
but I was a little over generous with the paste,
so the floral design hides a multitude of sins.....and a large splodge lol.
I love this layered die cut sentiment, which I used on both cards.

So sending love and hugs to All who are having a hard time at the moment.

Thanks for stopping by, with Love and Crafty Hugs

The Apple Doesn't Fall Far From the Tree

Evening,

They say that the apple never falls far from the tree, well if that is the case my youngest daughter has definitely inherited my love of craft, although probably not cardmaking. I have to say though that I would love to be as artistic as she is.

This amazing creature started life as a rather uninteresting Barbie doll.
Becki is very much the perfectionist, so this has taken a really long time to complete as she has never been quite right..........in Becki's eyes at least.
I personally think that she is absolutely amazing. She even has lights in her staff and base.
Another of Becki's crafty endeavors is the plaster cast that we took of her belly while she was pregnant with Jack. Once again this has taken ages to complete as she couldn't quite make up her mind how to finish it off.
She finally settled on a galaxy with 3 butterflies to represent Emma, Chloe and Jack.
Once again there are hidden lights. It was very hard to photograph as was the dragon lady, and they both definitely look way better in real life, but I hope that you get some idea of just how amazing they are, and how creative she is.
Thanks for stopping by.

Pretty in Pink

Evening,

My Granddaughter Chloe's favourite colour is Pink, well at the moment anyway lol.

The challenge at We Love Stamping is to use 'Favourite Colours, so I thought that I would share a couple of cards that I made with Chloe in mind.

This is a Spotlight card made using pretty spring colours, an embossing folder and Woodware stamps designed by Jane Gill for Creative Expressions.
A very similar idea, just a different stamp set, once again designed by Jane.

The children all came to stay at the end of the Summer while Mummy had some training to do, and got a head start on their Christmas cards.
It is so nice now I actually have the space for them to sit and craft with me.
Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to check out the challenge.

Happy New Years Eve

Evening,

Today I finally managed to get up to Whyteleafe for the first time since I moved in to look after my Mum. I always visit the church on New Years Eve to light a candle, and leave a rose, for my son Adam, my Dad and my friends brother. I was very lucky today as there was no industrial action on the railways so my journey went unhindered, if you forget about the torrential rain.

I popped Adam's picture under the tree before I left,
and then popped into my old work for some lovely red roses.
I also had coffee with the rest of the family, so all in all a lovely day, and not quite the emotional struggle that it usually is.
Having walked nearly 20,000 steps though, I'm not sure that I will manage to see in the New Year. I can see me being fast asleep lol.
So now it only leaves me to wish you All an amazing New Year. I hope that it is a healthy and happy one for everybody.
Please raise a glass to those no longer with us.
With much love and Crafty hugs

Countdown to Christmas - Day 12

Evening,

Another snowy day.

Mummy and the Girls enjoyed a rather chilly walk to work/school. They were a little bit late due to lots of picture taking, but as Mummy said 'how often do they get the chance to experience snow? They might as well make the most of it.'

Jack and I spent a rather relaxing, and much warmer, day at home.

I stayed an extra day due to the difficulties of getting him to nursery, which is rather out in the sticks. He enjoyed playing indoors, while I finished knitting Mummy's new scarf.

We did rather wonder whether putting the tree up with two new kittens in the house was a mistake, but Mummy decided that they would never learn if they never got to see one.
She may well be regretting that decision, although I think that they have been forgiven now lol.

Jack and I have another playday tomorrow, but I have said that I really must go home on Wednesday.

Thanks for stopping by

Countdown to Christmas - Day 11

Evening,

There is the real feel of Christmas in the air today.

We started the day with a walk to the village after a very heavy frost.

There is something really magical about nature in the winter. We spent a lot of time marveling at the frost on the leaves and trees, and finding the most amazing spiders webs.
After some shopping and a hot chocolate we came home and I was tasked with keeping the kids entertained while Mum and Dad sorted out some Christmas wrapping and putting up the decorations.

Chloe nearly dragged me down the stairs in her eagerness to show me the tree, her little face was a picture of sheer delight and wonder.

And then this evening the ultimate in any Christmas fantasy.........snow.
The children insisted on going out in it for a snowball fight with Mum, while Daddy ran a nice warm bath. The perfect round up to the day.
I was supposed to be going home tomorrow, but as it looks likely that Jack's Nursery school will be shut due to the weather, I am going to stay for another night. Mum and the Girls can walk in to school so long as it stays open but Jack is not so fortunate. Still another day with them all can hardly be seen as a hardship, and I know that Mum is all set up and can manage without me for an extra day. But you won't get me out there for a snowball fight I'm afraid. I'm always terrified of falling over.
Thanks for stopping by.

It's Raining, It's Pouring.

Evening

Just a very quick post tonight. I've managed to get away to see the Grandchildren for a couple of days and have foolishly left my laptop charger sitting on my desk!!!

It's been raining steadily here since I arrived, and it was raining when I left home, but in all that I managed to walk to and from the stations without getting soaked by all the passing vehicles, so that was nothing short of a miracle.
This on the other hand is the state of Mum's back garden.........our very own lake. Anyone got a few spare fish lol.
Better leave it at that, before my battery dies.
Thanks for stopping by.

Day 8 Creative Expressions Spooktember Challenge - Inky Terror(s)

Evening,

It's Day 8 of the Spooktember Challenge over at Creative Expressions Official Facebook Page, and the prompt is Inky Terror, or in this case Terrors lol.

I love this fabulous floral image from Jane Gill and I teamed it with a picture of a couple of Halloween Terrors, my youngest Granddaughters Emma and Chloe.
I'm not sure that they are very inky,  but they are certainly terrors on occasions.
I used inks to paint the rose, and did a little bit of partial die cutting to create the aperture for my picture.
You can't have Halloween without a spider, and this stamp has a beauty as part of it. I have to say that it is the only way that I cope with spiders......stamped images only lol.
Hope that you will join us for todays challenge.
Thanks for stopping by.
