Pretty in Pink for the Moonwalk

Evening,
I decided at the end of last year that my daughter and I were going to do the Moonwalk again.
We did it in 2018, and thoroughly enjoyed it, such a brilliant atmosphere.
So now I have finally gotton around to signing up. We are hoping that my other daughter, and eldest Grandchild will join us, but there is no backing out for the two of us now lol.
I figured that I needed a nice pink card for tonights blogpost and so here is one with some stamping done in bleach on the pink background.
I coloured and fussy cut a floral element to add to the sentiment.
I used the bleach stamped left over strip on this card,
with another slightly larger fussy cut floral element.
Now that we have signed up to the Moonwalk they will be sending a Training Plan to help us get in shape before 20th May. It seems such a long way away, but given that we start February tomorrow it will be on us before we know it.
If you would feel able to sponsor me HERE I would be extremely grateful. I think we all have someone in our lives that is, or has been affected by this dreadful disease.
This is a picture of my daughter Becki and myself when we participated in 2018.
Thanks for stopping by.

We made it

Evening, or should that be very early morning lol
Well we made it. We finished the Moonwalk.
40,000 steps and just under 5 and a half hours, not bad for a first attempt at the 15 mile Half Moon Walk, if I do say so myself.
It was a strangely enjoyable experience, one which I would happily repeat.
I must confess to spending most of Sunday either sleeping, or at least lying down, so I hope you will forgive me for not blogging sooner.
Thank you to everyone who sponsored us, and a huge thank you to all the volunteers who gave up their time to stand throughout the night to guide and encourage us.
Thanks again for all your support.

Walk the Walk..........for Breast Cancer

Evening Everyone,
I hope that you all had a good weekend. Mine did not quite go to plan, so now I am going to need your help and encouragement.....................and a good pair of walking shoes.
In a moment of New Year, First day back at the gym madness, my daughter and I have signed up for the Moonwalk, in aid of Breast Cancer, in London, in May.
Now I know that when it comes around to it I will be fine, and I'm looking forward to doing it, but at the moment I am feeling somewhat under parr after my Granddaughter Emma has generously shared her rather nasty cough and cold.
She has been under the weather for a little while, but I am certainly not going to say no to a hug or a cuddle when it is offered, so if this is all my own fault then so be it!!
We are eagerly awaiting our official Walker Pack which includes the trademark Moonwalk Bra for us to decorate and a training plan.
I'm not sure that these would be considered the recommended footwear for our walk, but I just love this set of sneakers, so useful for teenage cards, whatever the sex.
They are great for paper piecing as I have done here, or for colouring in.
I'm afraid my proposed training plan has bitten the dust today, coughing and walking in the cold is probably not a very good plan.
I still have plenty of time though, so all is not lost.
I will try and set up a Fundraising page when I can work out how to do it, you all know me and technology, so then if anyone fancies sponsoring me in my efforts you will have somewhere to go.
For now I am off to wrap myself up under my nice new fleecy blanket ( a Christmas prezzie from one of my lovely customers at work) so that I can catch up with some TV. I know how to live :O)
Have a great evening.

A Day filled with Endless Possibilities and Adventures.

Evening Everyone,
Another lovely day here, and I even managed to get a card made which is a big plus.
Our local Community Policeman is moving to another district so I have made this to send to him.
He has been a frequent visitor to the Garage and so we will miss him, although he says that he will still pop in and say Hello when he fills up with petrol.
I thought that the sentiment was highly appropriate. It comes from a new Woodware set JGCL569 Inspirational Verses. I have cut it out using a Circular Nestie.
The flowers are from another Woodware set designed by Jane Gill JGCL572 Daisy Layers which I have stamped onto background papers from my stash.
Talking of Woodware, several of the Girls (Judith, Francoise, Jane and Dorothy) are taking part in the Moonwalk in London on 11th May so why not stop by their fund raising page HERE and sponsor them.
The Moonwalk helps to raise money for Breast Cancer services, a very worthy cause which I think we have all been touched by be it personally or through a friend or relative.
