Floral Panel Dies
which I have used over some handmade background papers. This one is from the Cosmos set CED2051.
They come as sets of two dies in a pack,
I have layered this beautifully delicate sentiment die.
This is the leftovers from the previous card
which I added to an embossed panel. The perfect easy 'Twofer'.

Just a Note to Say
Evening,
And another wet one it has been too. I know that we had amazingly dry weather for a long time over the summer, but seriously, do we really need to make up for it now with just as many rainy days!!
I do love stamps, and especially ones that can be used for all sorts of occasions.......with a little adaptation.I thought that it would be ideal for a note, get well, or even a sympathy card.
I did a bit of fussy cutting to remove the spooky house that formed part of the stamp and layered it over a piece of background from my stash.

Just a Note
Evening,
I've spent a very productive day clearing the decks of crafty projects in preparation for a parcel from the lovely Janice from SirStampalot. I'm helping her out with some samples so it was good to get a few things finished so that I could get the old brain cells working on what she is sending me.
Here are a couple of cards made a while ago for a class on stencils and pastes.I used the brick wall stencil and some texture paste over the top of some stamped background paper.
The tulips are a layering stamp set from Altenew which also has a co-ordinating die.
Same idea and layout just a different stencil for this card.

What do you give a 91 year old?
WARNING PICTURE HEAVY POST
Evening All,
I find that birthday prezzies are always a bit of a challenge, but what on earth do you give a 91 year old?
Several years ago I gave Mum a large box of handmade cards, along with a stash of peel-off sentiments in various colours.
I have topped it up on several occasions. So I decided that this year I would give her a new box (aka M&S Shortbread biscuit tin) only this time I would also add in enough postage stamps for each card since it has become so expensive to post them.
I was going to stick the appropriate postage on to each card,
but decided that as she may need to hand deliver some of them,
I would just put L (large) or ST (standard) in the top corner of the envelope so that she would know which stamp she needed if necessary.
I tried to cover most occasions for which she might need a card,
and of course the peel-offs will help her transform one without a sentiment on it already.
Mum writes a good letter,
I finally managed to deliver her gift in person this afternoon,
due to a lift from a good friend.
Of course I also included some thank you cards,
which I'm sure Mum will make good use of.

I Love Saturdays
Evening Everyone,
I do love a Saturday. Of course it is the weekend and I don't have to be at work, and every other week I get to be with the littlest Grandchildren, but then on the other week I get to spend several hours crafting with some lovely ladies.
Today was one of those Saturdays. We drink copious amounts of tea and coffee and eat biscuits even though we shouldn't, but most importantly we chat, laugh and play with crafty goodies.
Today it was stencils, like the one used in the background on this card.I always try to make sure that there is something for everyone, and so this time as well as a drawer full of stencils, I took along some stamp sets that have matching stencils to help make colouring the images that much easier.
This particular set called Choose Hope is from Pink Fresh Studio and has a co-ordinating die available as well as layering stencils.

Black Magic Masterboard
Hi All,
Another slow but productive day in the craft room.
As you know I am still on a mission to use up bits and pieces from my craft room, so I want to try and keep on top of the classes now that they are back on.Thankfully I had several stamped pieces in a folder from a previous class on the Black Magic technique, so I was able to do colouring during class, rather than stamping out loads more pieces that never get finished. One of the things that I found, along with a few previously finished cards, was a whole sheet of stamped images just waiting to be coloured in.Having finished the colouring in class, I decided to chop the panel up to make several different cards.
I even used up some of the scraps along with a small square die for this card,
and this one.
I even managed to use up a piece of embossed cardstock in the background to this card.
These last couple of cards were made using a couple of precoloured pieces that I found in the box.
I do love this technique, and as several of the ladies couldn't make the first class, I am sure that we will be repeating it at some stage.
