Floral Layering Dies

Evening All,

We have a class on Multiple Layering Dies on Saturday, so I have spent a very relaxing afternoon die cutting for England? I figured if I got all the die cut layers done, I could make the cards up at my leisure.

As well as Multiple Layering Background dies, I will also be taking along assorted floral dies.
If memory serves this is one from Crafters Companion, although it could be Altenew of course.
I had several cards made up from a previous class, so this seems the perfect opportunity to share them.
I used the same background die here as on the first card, only this time I used a bit of paper piecing and some layering stamps.

Back to work tomorrow, so I had better get to bed. It's always hard getting back in to a routine when you have been off for a few days.

Thanks for stopping by.

Poinsettias and Mop Up Backgrounds

Evening All,

I made it to work at the right time today :O)

We will be playing with Distress Oxide Inks again on Saturday, only this time we will be doing a little bit of mopping up........ background wise that is.
I do love a mop up background, its a great way to use up all that ink that you end up with on your craft sheet. I hate to waste anything as you know.
I used the Distress Oxide inks to colour in this fabulous poinsettia stamp from Stamps By Me. There is also a co-ordinating die which I used to cut it out and layer it over the background panel.
For this second card I used another piece of mop up background and an Altenew die to create a background for the stamped, embossed and coloured poinsettia.
It's quite amazing how different an image can look whether it is stamped and embossed using white or black embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Anniversary Sue and Charles

Evening Everyone,
Where on earth do all the years go to?
I had a very special request for a card just recently.
Like a blast from the past, I was contacted by one of the children that I used to look after (25 odd years as a childminder) who asked me if I could make a card for her parents 30th Wedding Anniversary.
30 is pearl, so she wanted a card with a large 30 on it, and plenty of pearls.

I created an easel card, which always makes a statement and added plenty of pearl spray to some pale background paper, along with some die cut flowers.
I added their names using Altenew die cut letters and a Creative Expression sentiment.
Their anniversary is today, so I think that I should be safe enough to share this, especially as it is sooooo late in the day lol.
Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday Emma

Evening Everyone.
Today a special young lady turned 5.
Seriously where did all those years go to?
I remember her birth like it was yesterday.
I picked this fabulous digi from Polkadoodles which looks so cute, just like Emma.
I used a butterfly background stamp which I white embossed onto a piece of pink card from my stash.
I also chose the image because of the butterflies. Emma had a butterfly house that she looked after during lockdown.
The alphabet dies are from Altenew and I cut them several times and stacked them for added dimension.
As I had half the butterfly panel left over I printed out another, slightly smaller image, and made another card to add to my stash.
We all went for a bike ride this afternoon and then had cake with the Birthday Girl which was lovely.
Thanks for stopping by.
Stay safe and hugs

A Banner Birthday

Evening,
What a miserable day. Several of my crafty friends are suffering with leaking roofs after the dreadful wind and rain that we have been experiencing today.
So here is a nice bright card to hopefully cheer up your day.
Every year I make a card for my Boss's daughter, and he likes me to put her name on it.
This time I used a piece of Clarity patterned paper for the base of my card and then some die cut banners and an Altenew Tall Alphabet die set for her name.
The flowers are diecut from more of the background paper and some matching plain scraps.
The sentiment is a new die that I recently acquired from Simon Says Stamp.
Let's hope that tomorrow is a little calmer and that there are no more leaky roofs.
Thanks for stopping by, happy Crafting and hugs
