A host of golden daffodils for a Spring challenge at CCM

Hello All,
Another beautiful sunny day here, and another challenge over at CCM where Judy is our host for Spring.

And how appropriate on such a lovely day.

Daffodils are always a sign of Spring for me, so here is a card made with some lovely Hobby Art ones, Daffs and Bells.

I stamped, embossed and coloured the daffodils and foliage, and then added some zendoodled frames.
It is also a Mother's Day card which we celebrated yesterday in the UK.
Well, we celebrated with bum bumps and Facetime, no actual hugging which was very hard. I can't wait to be able to give my lovely Mum a really big hug, and share a cuppa and a dark chocolate stem ginger biscuit. This is our treat when I take over her shopping which of course I am not able to do at the moment.

This second card uses the same set but this time I stamped and embossed in white

and then added a couple of fussy cut flowers

and an Easter greeting.

Card number three uses another white embossed panel only this time I created a darker colour spotlight in the centre of the card.

I made this final one a birthday card.

All three of the sentiments are part of this same lovely set.

Happy 60th Birthday Sue, and a Happy Mothers Day too.

Morning All
Long time no see.
I haven't exactly been idle all this time, I just don't seem to have found the time to get on to the computer.
Saturday is usually class day, but we had a fabulous alternative yesterday when we helped one of our number celebrate her 60th Birthday.
Sue is a regular in class and her Girls had organised a surprise party for her to which we were all invited. It was a lovely afternoon filled with pizza, and fries as opposed to the usual coffee and cake.

This was the card that I made her.

The background is a piece of 'Bleedin' Art' Tissue. I stuck it to some white card stock using DSS Sheet and then gently applied gold gilding wax.

The flowers and leaves have also had a little gilding wax added to them.

I decided that it would be nicer if I added 60th to the card, after all it is the milestone being celebrated with the party. 

 I used a very similar layout for the Mothers Day card that I made for my lovely Mum.

I love the Art Tissue backgrounds, no two are ever the same.
My Girls and I have had a lovely day today, topped off with a wonderful roast dinner cooked for us.
I hope that all you Mummies out there have been suitably spoilt.
I am now feeling very stuffed, so I think it might be time for bed.

For a Special Mum

Evening Everyone
I hope that you have all been suitably pampered if you are lucky enough to be a Mum, or that you have been able to pamper your own Mum.
I have had a lovely day filled with crafting and copious amounts of coffee served to me by the Sin-in-Law and Grandchildren.

We popped over to see Mum on Friday to deliver her card, it was way to thick to send in the post lol. Emma usually spends all her time chatting to 'Pat-Pat' as she affectionately calls her, but this time she had a rival for her attentions as my Sister was there with my niece and her two children.
Emma and Myla were born a couple of months apart and were so sweet together. They spent ages posting farm animals and flashcards through the cat flap and then holding hands while they waited for my sister to get them back so they could do it all over again. 

The card I made for Mum was inspired during a class that I taught a couple of weeks ago. It was Shaped Cards, and while I showed them how to construct an easel card, I made them all do homework and each share a different shaped card with the rest of the class.

I prepared a pack for each of them and for once I gave them no choice of stamps, so of course I had lots of ideas running around my head by the time I got home, all using the beautiful Peacock stamp set by Woodware.

I took along a couple of embossing folders to use, as well as Gilding Wax and Starlights to paint with.

Better get some shut eye now, although I'm still feeling wide awake at the moment. The trouble is we lost an hour last night which hasn't quite caught up with me yet, but it will be time for work before I know it so I had better stop.

Happy Mothers Day

Hi All
I hope that you all enjoying your Sunday and that all of those wonderful Mothers out there are being spoilt rotten.
I am currently on my hols here at SirStampalot, so I am not able to spoil my lovely Mum. That will have to wait until I get home next weekend.

Here is the card that I made for her using a panel created with dye based inks, stencils and Sparkle medium.

I love this fabulous new stamp from Woodware, it is so easy to colour, and I can see that I am going to be using it rather a lot.

I used a stencil on the background to add a little extra colour, and also a little bit of sparkle.

The lettering has been added using some die cut letters.

The beauty of playing in the shop is that I get the chance to match papers with ease, so this brown Bo Bunny paper fit in perfectly with the stencil and die cut corners.
I wish I could say that I had left this for Mum to open today, but the reality is that it was still in the making, so I will pop it in the post tomorrow.
I did fess up before I left, and let's face it I am very rarely on time with my cards so it was hardly a surprise to her lol.
We are tucking in to Chinese later this evening, so I may not be at home, but I am still being spoilt.
So have a great evening whether you are spoiling, being spoilt, or just remembering a wonderful person now sadly no longer here.

For a Special Woman at CCM and Woodware

Morning Everyone,
We have a new challenge starting today over at CCM where we would love to see your cards for a Special Woman. So Mother's Day cards/creations, or cards/creations for any woman who is special, Daughter, Wife, Friend etc. will be fine. You can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to just be cards, as long as it meets the challenge, and doesn't exceed the 15 total challenges entered rule!
We are sponsored this time by Woodware.
It is my turn to post for them today as well, so here is a card that I made for their latest catalogue.

I stamped and white embossed the lovely JGS434 Flowers in a Row onto a piece of white card stock and then sponged over the image with blue and brown Graphic 45 inks.

I wiped over the panel with a piece of kitchen roll so that the white embossing 'popped' through before tearing across the top of the panel to reveal the white core of the card.

I also added a little colour to some of the leaves and flowers before adding the greeting,

some background paper and a few gems.

I created a couple of extra cards using the same stamp, papers and technique.
