Bleedin Art Tissue - Part 2

Evening,
Yesterday I shared several cards made using Bleedin Art Tissue.
Once the ink has been bled from the tissue onto cardstock you are left with some pieces of tissue which have the most amazing patterns on them. Along with the majority of hardcore crafters I hate waste, and so here are a few cards made with some of that patterned tissue stuck onto some DSSSticker sheet.
I stamped and embossed onto this piece,
and then used thin undiluted bleach to remove the colour from the embossed image.
Another piece that I stamped and embossed onto once the tissue was stuck to the sticker sheet.
Just a small strip on this card........I told you that I can't stand waste. I added a little gilding wax to this which highlights the fabulous texture in the paper.
An incredibly old card here, probably made during my first encounter with Bleedin Art tissue way back in the days of The Craft Barn and fabulous wood mounted stamps from Magenta. I might just add a die cut sentiment to this one. They weren't around when this was made!!

Just For You

Evening,
As you know I love cards where you get two for the price of one, so here are another couple of die cut cards using an inky background.
This card is actually made with the leftovers, by doing a bit of Paper Piecing.
I die cut this beautiful floral background die from white as well as the inky background.
I then added it to a piece of DSSSheet and placed the inky pieces back inside the main die.
The sentiment has been cut several times from kraft card and then stacked to it looks like a wooden die cut element.
I used DSSSheet here too, only instead of more paper piecing I cover the exposed sticker sheet with fine clear glitter.
I also used stacked die cuts for the sentiment painted with a clear sparkle pen.
Thanks for stopping by.

A Foxy Celebration

Afternoon All,
I can't believe how hot it still is, so here is a little foxy Christmas card to try and cool you down.
This was made using one of Francoise new Christmas stamps that were released recently FRS082 Foxy Christmas.
The strips in the background are cut from a piece of 'Mop up Background' with a little faux stitching added.
I coloured Mr Fox using Cosmic Shimmer Inktense Pigment Stains and then fussy cut him out.
I stamped one of the sentiments from the stamp set on to another of the strips of background.
I hate to waste ink on my mat and plastic spray booth, so I have been using some sheets of rice paper (as suggested by Leoni) to mop up anything that is left on the mat.
Once it is dry I scrunch it up and add it to a piece of DS Self Adhesive sheets and then highlight with a little gilding wax.
Of course this is a Christmas card with the addition of a little Fluffy Stuff, but I think it could be used for a winter birthday just as easily.
I hope that you are all OK in this heat. Thank you so much for stopping by, I really do appreciate it.

Potter numbers 1,2,and 3

Evening Everyone,
My family are convinced that I am the only person left on the planet who hasn't watched a Harry Potter film.
My littlest Grandchildren changed all of that over the weekend, when we managed to watch the first couple of 'Potters' as Chloe calls them.
I loved all the postal owls in the first film, so I thought that it made the perfect opportunity to share a card that I made a while ago using an owl stamp designed by Jane Gill for Woodware.
I stamped and embossed the owl onto a piece of watercolour cardstock and dropped colour onto it having made the card stock very wet.
Once it was dry I added more colour to specific parts of the image.
The background is a piece of 'Bleedin Art Tissue' stuck onto DSST and then highlighted with gold gilding wax.
I added some black die cut branches and a few fussy cut stamped leaves.
Emma and I stayed at home while Mum did the shopping with the little ones this afternoon so I managed a third Potter. I am now cool according to Saskia, one of my older Grandchildren, although she did feel that I should have watched Mulan which has always been our go to babysitting movie.
Isn't it funny how little traditions stick in kids minds even when they grow up. It's lovely that they have fond memories of our time spent watching the film eating ice cream and chocolate.

Happy Birthday to CIA and SAS

Evening All
Today, or what's left of it, is the Twins birthday, the CIA (Ciaran) and SAS (Saskia) of the title. They are 13.
I can't believe how quickly the time has gone. It only seems like yesterday that they were born and I was picking up big sister Megan from school with little brother Reece in tow.
It was pouring with rain, one of those flash flood situations, where the water came up over the little ones wellie boots and even the buggy seat. In fact we were so soaked that we came home and got straight into a nice hot shower.
Nothing like that today, it's been a scorcher.
I had a couple of images left over from the card I made for Megan in May, so I decided to use them for Saskia's card. After all she is a little mini Megan so it seems highly appropriate.
The background to the main card was created from a piece of kitchen paper that I used to mop up excess ink when I was playing last week.
Once dry I stuck it to a sheet of DSST and rubbed over it with a little gold gilding wax,
which picks up all the wrinkles in the paper.
The background was too pretty to hide so I die cut a panel from the centre of it, where it would be hidden under the stamped panel and fussy cut LOTV image,
and used it for this second card.
I don't like to waste things as you know, and this paper is just far to pretty to waste.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope that you have a wonderful weekend.
Stay safe and hugs
