I know that I am a bit late in the day to let you know about todays challenge, but the day seems to have run away from me.
I will try and do better tomorrow, but as I am taking the kids out for the day so that Mummy can start her first day at her new job, it may not happen lol.

We've All Gone Dotty at CCM&More

Evening Everyone,
We have started a new 'Dotty' challenge over at CCM&More today.
Our host Sally is looking for plenty of obvious dots in your creations.
I chose one of Jane Gill's fabulous stamps designed to work with Card Candi amongst other things.
I stamped and embossed it into the corner of my card,
before running it through my Ebosser along with two fabulously dotty stencils from Clarity,
one stencil on top of the other.
I sponged and brushed the background with a combination of blue and brown distress inks.
The stamped and embossed image has been painted with the same colours.
I also added some gilding wax, faux stitching and even some dotty Card Candi.
I hope that you will join us, and that you will pop across and show the rest of the team some love.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenge
Crafty Creations Challenge - Seeing Spots
Bye for now, happy crafting.

Poppies for Remembrance

Hi All
It's my turn to post on the Hobby Art Blog, and so I thought that I would make a card using one of their fabulous poppy stamps to commemorate Remembrance Day.
Of course it also fits very nicely with the new Monthly Challenge that Jenny has just launched.
For the first challenge she is asking you to make a card/project using the theme of Poppies and/or Remembrance.
The main panel on my card has been created using one of the Poppy stamps from the Poppy Scene It set.
I have stamped and embossed the images on to a piece of handmade background paper and then coloured it using Distress Inks.
The sentiment is also from the same set although I masked off the embellishment above it when inking the stamp.
My background paper has been created using my trusty Gelli Plate, some green and gold acrylic paint and a stencil.
I sponged this panel with brown Distress Ink before dry embossed it using an embossing folder.
Once embossed I passed the same brown ink pad over the entire piece which highlighted the embossed images.
Hopefully you can see the gold acrylic paint a little better in this photograph.
I added some tiny peel-off dots around the oval die cut frame and also some hand drawn dots at the side of the stems on the stamped panel.
I hope that you will join us in our new challenge, but remember that you must use Hobby Art stamps.
There are lots of lovely ones to choose from, so I shall look forward to seeing what you come up with.
Happy stamping, and have a great weekend.

Bare Trees in the Forest.

Hi All,
Two nights in a row, that can't be bad.
Here are pictures of the cards that I made using backgrounds from yesterdays class at Davina's where we played with both the Creative Palette and Gelli Plate along with Kaleidacolour Inkpads.
This is a first generation background pulled from one of the plates and it uses the Blue Breeze inkpad and a combination of stamps (CRS5069 Delicate Snow Set) and bubble wrap.
This card was made with the second print pulled from the plate, and is much paler. I also 'cleaned' the bubble wrap by stamping it over the background to transfer any excess ink.
The main stamped image is FRS313 Bare Tree.
This card uses a second generation piece of background with more stamped snowflakes from the Stampendous set as well as bubble wrap stamping.
The trees on this card, and the one above, are from FRS278 Forest which have been embossed with white powder onto a piece of background.
Now you know as Crafter we hate to waste anything so when I was cleaning the plates I spritzed them with water and then lay a piece of plain card down on them to collect any leftover ink before I cleaned them properly.
This card again uses the  FRS313 Bare Tree along with a sentiment added on acetate and some die cut snowflakes.
And of course no class would be complete without a tag. I can't believe that this is actually no 25!!!!
I would like to enter this into the challenge at Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge Extra.
Better get to bed now as it is back to work tomorrow, Mondays seem to come round so quickly don't they?
