Thinking of You with Stencils

Evening All,

Here are the last of my cards from the class on Stencils and Stamps.

Once again I used this fabulous stencil from Altenew, but this time I kept it monochrome.
I made them as Sympathy/Thinking of You cards,
but the idea would work every bit as well for an Anniversary or Birthday.
Same technique, but a different floral stencil, once again worked in monochrome colours.
I added a few gems to both cards,
along with a stamped and embossed sentiment.
These last two cards feature a couple of circular Clarity floral stencils.
They are only small, but a card doesn't always have to be huge. They are sent with love and best wishes what ever their size.
Better get my tag written for class on Saturday or I'll get a ticking off :O)
Several years ago I started a tag book for the Girls, inspired by a class that I had done at SirStampalot a few months previous. The idea of it is to create a tag to go with each class to remind the Girls of what they have done so that they can more easily recreate it later. Each tag is supplied with instructions on the technique that they have played with, and a piece of appropriate cardstock for them to create a visual prompt. I supply the tag and instructions, they supply the artwork lol.
I tried very hard to supply tag instructions for each of the classes pre lockdown, but time just got away from me sometimes, so I am determined not to fall into the same trap now that classes have started up again.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope that you liked what you saw.

Purple Poppy

Evening,

After our lovely class yesterday I have been trying to finish off a few bits of homework.

This fabulous floral stencil was a favourite with all of the ladies on Saturday.
I created a piece of script background with an old stamp and then stenciled over the top using Distress inks.
With the stencil still in place, held there using my Wendy Vechi Make Art Stay-tion, I drew all around the image with a fine micron pen.
I added some soft stenciling to the base card using the same colours, and finished the whole thing off with a die cut sentiment covered in glossy accents, gems and hand made Card Candi.
This second card using the same colours of ink and leafy background stencil from Lavinia. The background started as a piece of clean up paper for the blending brushes. I have one brush per colour family and like to clean them off on a piece of paper before changing ink colours.
I held the white die cut LOVE under the stencil, on top of the clean up paper before adding more ink. I rather liked the contrast on the die cut so I decided to stack it and then add some glossy accents to help it stand out against the background panel.

Off to bed now since I am back at work at stupid o'clock tomorrow. Still at least it shouldn't be too hot tomorrow which will suit me very well.

Thanks for stopping by.

Leaf Burst Stencil Cards

Evening All,

Wow what a change in the weather. One day it's swelteringly hot, and the next we have pouring rain all day!!

At least so far the weather seems to have put off the perishing magpie, so that is one good thing.

I didn't manage to take any photos today. To be honest I completely forgot. I went out for a coffee with my gym buddy this afternoon and then I was finishing off bits for class tomorrow so everything got packed away so that I don't forget to take it.
So instead here are some more samples using stencils which we will be playing with in class in a couple of weeks time.
I made several cards using this lovely Altenew stencil.
As you can see you don't always have to use the whole stencil, which makes them even more versatile.
This one uses a Tim Holtz stencil and distress inks.
I drew around the image with a black micron pen, while the stencil was still in place to give it a little more definition.
When you have sponged ink through a stencil there is always plenty left on it after you have finished, so here I spritzed it with water and then placed a piece of card on top to transfer the ink. Waste not want not as my Gran would say.
I also did a little stamping over the top, and also once again drew around the image with a fine line pen.
Better set my alarm for tomorrow, I need to get back into the habit of getting up early in preparation for Monday, although I won't be setting it for 3.30am quite yet lol.
Thanks for stopping by.
