Creative Expressions 30 Day Challenge - Day 12 Sparkle

Evening Everyone,
What a glorious day it has been, I just hope that you have all been obeying the rules and staying indoors how ever boring that may seem. I can't believe how many pictures I have seen of people out and about like it was any other spring day.
Lecture over, here is my card for the Sparkle challenge over at Creative Expressions.
I'm afraid that the photos don't do the sparkle justice, it never does which is a shame.
I have used another of Jane's floral designs for Woodware along with a piece of background paper created using pale gold Gilding Polish.
I do love black and white cards, with just a hint of colour, or in this case some Platinum Stickles and pale green leaves.
Better get back to my card making while I have a little bit of mojo available. It's been sorely lacking of late I have to admit. I have been enjoying taking part in these challenges but I am very glad that I have such a large stash of cards to look through in order to take part.
Have a good evening.
Stay safe and hugs

A Patchwork Celebration

Evening Everyone,
I can't believe that another weekend is over, but at least it has been a productive one for me.
Dinner out was cancelled last night so I managed to get some Christmas cards finished and some DT work for Jenny at Hobby Art so that was all good.
I also promised to post a card showing one of the Embossing folder techniques that we will be doing in class at Davina's next time (Saturday 1st February)
I saw the idea for the Embossed Bargello background done in white on Sue Wilson's blog, but I decided to try it in colour.
The flowers are stamped and fussy cut using the same coloured card and a lovely stamp set designed for Woodware by Jane Gill.
The brown 'twigs' are all cut from a Dreamweaver Tree die, and I added soem gems to the flower centers using Tim Holtz Rock Candy Distress Stickles.
Better get to bed or I will be shattered tomorrow.
Don't forget there will be a new challenge starting over at Crafty Cardmakers and More tomorrow so why not check it out.

Warmest Winter Wishes lol

Evening Everyone
I hope that you have had a good day.
I am reliably informed, by at least 60 customers over the course of the day that the weather is going to change dramatically and we are in for cold and rain tomorrow.
At the moment it feels like the central heating has been switched on it's so hot, so I think I will wait and see.
I hope they are wrong, I've left my fleece at work lol.
I have just finished watching 'Hobby Art Jenny's' TV appearances that I taped today. Wasn't it nice to see her back on the box?
This is one of the cards that I made for her, and I'm pleased to say that I saw it on the first show.
It is always nice to see your work on the telly, especially when they say nice things about it.
I stamped the image using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and then 'pulled' the colour from the image using a waterbrush.
Yes Jenny, it was an easy card to make, just as you suggested lol.
I added a little Rock Candy Stickles as snow and mounted it onto background paper from my stash.
An early night for me I think, who knows what I will find, weatherwise, when I wake up.

Spring is coming ...................... I hope

Evening Everyone,
Well it has been another dull, cold and overcast day here in Surrey.
Why is it that the weathermen only ever seem to get it right when the weather is bad!!
I have been playing with the Distress Markers that I bought when I was last at Sirstampalot in November, and a Hero Arts set that I am ashamed to say has lain uninked for more time than I care to think about, but was also purchased from Sirstampalot.
I can't believe that it is nearly time for my next visit to Peterboro, I am counting off the days lol.
The distress markers work perfectly painted directly onto the stamp, even when they are clear stamps.
The semi circles on the stamped panel have been created using a Woodware punch, and the flowers have been embellished with some Rock Candy Stickles.
Lets hope that this makes you think that 'Spring is coming'. That is after all what Stamp and Create are looking for this month in their challenge.
