For Imagination With Love

Evening Everyone,
I've been playing with my fabulous Imagination stamps and stencils.

Their challenge this month has been Love is in the Air so I made the card especially for it.
The background has been created using a stencil, Kaleidacolor ink pad and a stencil brush.

I taped the stencil down with low tack tape so that it didn't move before I brushed ink all over it.

The central stamped and embossed panel has been coloured using the 'Wet Watercolour Technique' and the Imagination Vintage Pearly Palette, so my dye based ink pad was chosen to match.

With Love was stamped and embossed several times down the left hand side of the background panel which had also been sprayed with some black Spray Webbing.
I do love these Decoupage stamps, they are so easy to use and stamp out beautifully.
I will be chained to my desk for the next couple of days as I have masses of DT samples to make, so I had better get a good nights sleep.

More Mardi Gras Masks

Evening Everyone,
Well where did that weekend go!!!
I can't believe that I am writing another late post before I get to bed, I really must get a bit more organised, but then it wouldn't be me would it lol.

I hope that you all managed to catch Barbara on the TV today, cuddled under a blanket with a steaming hot mug of cocoa if the weather was anything like it was here.
The Grandchildren thought that the snow was brilliant and went out sledging. Me, I stayed in the warm with a cuppa. I shall have to face it tomorrow so I gave the outside a miss again today.

This is another of the cards that I made for Barbara using the other Mardi Gras Mask from her TV show. 

It has been stamped and embossed and then painted with Pearlex paint. The background has been made using Spray Webbing and foil.

I'm afraid the pictures are not the best but maybe you will be able to see it better once Barbara adds it to the Gallery over on the Clarity website.

Off to bed now, lets hope it doesn't snow again in the night.

Mardi Gras Masks

Evening Everyone,
I hope you are having a good weekend.
Unfortunately we have finally succumb to the snow that has been threatening to fall for the last week. Strangely it doesn't seem quite as cold, or maybe it is just that I haven't left the house all day lol.

So to make you think of warmer days I thought I would share one of the cards that I made for Barbara at Clarity using the lovely Mardi Gras Mask 2 and the Diamond Strip.

I pulled some pieces of background from my stash that had been sprayed with glitter spray (black central panel) and Spray Webbing (turquoise background paper)
I also managed to find some peel-off dots that matched the colours as well.
Don't forget to tune in to Create and Craft tomorrow at 9am and again at 2pm to see Barbara and her wonderful demonstrations.
I wonder what ideas she has come up with this time?
Something clever I'll bet.

Woodware Challenge - Traditional Christmas

Afternoon All
This week the challenge over at Woodware is Traditional Christmas. Now for me, like Dorothy at Woodware, Traditional Christmas just has to be Red and Green, and of course there is nothing more traditionally Christmassy than a nice red Poinsettia.

The one I have used here is a stamp by Magenta Christmas Botanical Tile M0447, and is a real favourite of mine. In fact this has taken me a week to post as I got a bit carried away and ended up making 7 cards !!!!!
I think that I will split them over a couple of posts so you don't get too bored.
This first card sees the image stamped and embossed on to a couple of pieces of background paper from my stash. I have then decoupaged the Poinsettia and leaves and painted the side panel with distress inks and gelly roll glaze pens.

The resulting panel has been added to a card that I have stamped and embossed with versamark and clear embossing powder.  I have then painted the images with bleach, which in this case has turned the card a lovely bluey colour.

This second card has been created in a similar manner, but this time the main panel has been attached to a folded red card that has first been sprayed with Gold Spray Webbing. The gold border has been created with a strip of Woodware red Ultra High Bond Tape and some foil.

The panel in this card has been mounted on to a green card that has first been embellished with some left over bits of background paper.

The final card today finds the main panel  mounted onto some green Bazzil dotted Swiss card. I have added some stitching around the edge with a fine black pen.

More Massai Warriors

Hello Everyone.
Just a quick post tonight as I really must get an early night.
I thought that I had better share another of the cards from Barbara's last TV show, or it will be time for the next one lol.
The Warrior has been stamped onto a piece of paper that co-ordinated very nicely with the background paper that I had made myself.

The faux card candy have also been made from the co-ordinating paper.
I do like my embossing, as you know, but unfortunately it has reflected the light quite badly. Still I think you can get the idea.
I will try and share again tomorrow.
So much for my early night :)
