Ribbon or Lace challenge at CCM

Hello Everyone,
It's my turn to host the challenge at CCM this time, so I am looking for your creations using Ribbon or Lace.
I have a huge stash of ribbon, which I usually seem to forget about, so this was a good excuse to use up some of it!!
My card was actually made for my Mum, for her 88th birthday in August, and is a bit of a family affair.
The background is a painting that my Granddaughter Emma proudly brought to show me.
There were two of them in fact, and I loved the colour, so I thought that they would make fabulous backgrounds for a card. I also knew that Mum would be thrilled to think that Emma had helped to create it.

I wasn't allowed to keep the originals, so I made several photocopies before I stamped and embossed on one of them with some of my favourite floral images.

Having trimmed the panel down, I wrapped two different widths of sheer ribbon around the bottom before mounting it onto some co-ordinating card stock.
I also added some black buttons and a sentiment.
I die cut 'With Love' from black and white card and layered it to give a shadow which makes it pop.
I used a little more of Emma's background for this card which is one of several that I have just posted to Julia Watts for her TV appearance on Hochanda on Thursday.
I stamped and embossed one of Jane Gills fabulous new stamps onto the background,
and then did some very basic zendoodle. I also stamped and embossed the same image onto the black card base.
This one uses the same stamp, but a bit of 'mop up background', of which I have plenty lol.
I painted the image with Distress Inks and Oxides this time,
and then added a little Sparkle pen over the top of the blue flowers.
I have just posted a box of cards to Julia, so hopefully there will be a few of my samples on her shows on Thursday at 11am and 3pm.
I hope that you will find the time to join in with our latest challenge at CCM. Please pop over and share some love with the rest of my lovely Teamies, I know they will appreciate it.

A New Pair of Shoes..........

Evening Everyone,
I got to use a rather old pair of shoes today....... I finally got back to the gym.
I feel good at the moment, but I'm sure that tomorrow everything will ache like mad.

I was a rather busy bunny during the few days in between Christmas and the New Year making a couple of  new samples for Jane to take with her for her TV shows on Hochanda tomorrow. She will be on at 8am, 12midday and 4pm.

I love these shoes, they are exactly the sort of thing that I am always drawn to in a shoe shop. It's just a shame that my feet will no longer allow me to wear them.
I spent more years than I care to think about walking everywhere in 4 in heels. Backwards and forwards to the school a million times a day, pushing the double buggy or the wheelchair without a problem. And now all I can comfortably wear are my steel toe capped work shoes (actually very comfortable) or my trainers!! Oh the injustice of getting old lol.
I coloured the shoes with Distress Oxides and Inks and then fussy cut them.
This fabulous embossing folder seemed perfect to add the Cinderella touch.
Of course they do lend themselves to a bit of Paper Piecing, so I used some from one of Phill Martins fabulous paper pads.
I hope that you enjoy the shows. If I know Jane she will have come up with some fantastic demos.
I have my Sky box programmed cause I wouldn't want to miss anything.
Better get an early night, I'm starting to feel the effects of all that activity this afternoon.
Do you think I could justify a bit of Apple pie and custard for my pudding :O)

Join Jenny on the Box

Evening Everyone,
I'm sorry for the later than normal post, but I have just spent a fabulous and totally spontaneous day of shopping with my Girls.
I must be honest and say that it is not usually my thing, but I had a great time especially looking after Emma in Primark while the others were trying things on. She got bored in the buggy so I got her out. Big mistake. She thought that it was hilarious being chased around the store by her 'Mamma'. So I did get my work out today, just not at the gym.
I had some new stamps to play with recently because Hobby Art Jenny will be back on the box on Saturday.
Of course they have to remain secret until then, so here are a couple of cards that I made using this months Special CS154D Irises to whet your appetite.
I reached for my 'bits box' for this card and stamped and embossed the image a couple of times onto a piece of handmade background paper.
For this card I stamped, embossed and painted a single Iris which I then fussy cut out,
before adding it to a pretty die cut panel.
I hope that you will tune in to Hochanda at 10am, 2pm and 5pm on Saturday 26th November to join Jenny and see all the fabulous samples that the DT have created.
