Christmas Stockings to get me in the mood for samples

Afternoon All,

Time for a few Christmas cards.

As you know I babysit the littlest Grandchildren every other weekend so that Mum can go to work. I love spending time with them, but manage very little in the way of crafting, so this time I decided that I would take some watercolouring with me. I had a few more of these Christmas stockings to colour.

The Girls love to join in, as does Jack to be fair, so I let them colour a couple of the images each.
They loved using the Irridescent paint palettes that I had taken with me, and then they chose a couple of embossing folders for their backgrounds.
I am turning them in to cards, which I would have done already had I not stupidly left them behind when I came home on Sunday. Never mind, now they will be able to finish them off with me when I go there next weekend.
Here are my efforts,
complete with embossed background panels.
I added kraft foam behind the stamped panels to give added dimension.
As always a bit of gilding wax helps to highlight the embossing on the black panel.
I'm hoping that Jane will be pleased with what the Girls and I have done with her Stockings in a Row stamp set. It is definitely lovely to colour.
While we are on the subject of Christmas stockings here are another couple of cards that I made from bits and pieces I found in my Christmas box.
This one combines another of Jane's stamps, foliage this time, with a Magenta Christmas stocking.
I have to get into Christmas mode this weekend since I have Christmas samples to make so this is to get me in the mood.
Have a great weekend.
Stay safe and hugs

It's been snowing

Evening Everyone, or should that be morning now that it has past midnight?
It was definitely good crafting weather here in Whyteleafe, which is just as well given that I am working on samples for the new stamp designs foe Creative Expressions.
I've still got quite a few left to do so I will be chained to my desk after work for the next couple of days, snow or not.
I haven't even started to write my Christmas cards yet so there will be no change in my usual late posting. One day I will be on time with things, but I won't hold my breath lol.
Here are a few more that I finished earlier in the year using bits and pieces from my box.

You will have to excuse the lack of description tonight but if I don't get some sleep soon I will be dead on my feet at work tomorrow.
At least the snow seems to have disappeared for the moment. Let's hope that I don't get up to find that it has reappeared with avengance.
Night, night.

It's beginning to look a bit like Christmas!

Evening Everyone,
Did I sleep through November?
I can't believe that we are now counting down the hours till the big day.
I confess it is beginning to look a bit like Christmas in our house. The decorations have gone up on the outside of the house, and the tree has come down from the loft, although we need some new lights before we can proceed any further with that little venture lol.
I have spent the day trying to sort out Christmas cards, lists, and all those things that I should have sorted out at the end of Christmas last year.
I am waiting for the imminent arrival of the next set of stamps from Jane so I had better get a shift on with my Christmas prep before sample making has to take priority over everything again.
I am pleased to say that my tooth is finally sorted so it's back to the gym for me tomorrow. I definitely need it, I feel a bit like the Michelin Man. The antibiotics and pain killer made me feel sick all the time which was only cured by eating.................. well that's what I'm telling myself anyway.
One of my jobs today was to finish off the inserts in some cards.
I appear to be having major problems with blogger tonight, so this is going to be a picture heavy, explanation light post before it shuts me out completely.
These cards were all made a while ago in a class that I did at Davina's using just one Holly stamp to create various different types of  background with embossing powders and inks.
I suppose that at some point very soon I really should start the business of writing all these cards that I have made. I hate that part.
Have a great week, and if I have any energy left tomorrow after the gym I will try and post again. Blogger willing of course!!
Have a great week.
Happy Crafting and hugs

Another Christmas Postbag

Morning Everyone,
Its another mega post of Christmas cards I'm afraid.
If I don't share lots of them in one go there might be no let up till Easter, by which time you and I will be very bored lol.
As I said before I rarely make the same card more than once, there are usually differences even if they are only very small. I definitely am not one of those people that chooses a design and then makes them all the same for everyone. I think it is partly due to the fact that I get bored easily and also I own far too much stash to use just one stamp per occasion.
So here we go, no commentary, just lots of pictures.

I hope that there is something there to inspire you.
I am hoping that I can keep up with making a few cards each month in 2017. It has certainly made a huge difference to my getting organised this year.
Have a great day.

A Christmas Postbag

Evening Everyone,
Well that is the end of another couple of days of card writing.
I would like to say that I have finished, but I still have all of the hand delivered ones to do, so guess what I will be up to at the weekend lol.
I did stop briefly to finish a couple of birthday cards. Tomorrow is the birthday of my Grandson, and my good friend Anna, and for once the cards are ready on time.
Ready to sit in a pillar box I suppose given that we are about to start a postal strike. Still once they are posted they are out of my hands.
This is going to be a very picture heavy post as I thought that I would share just a few of the cards that I wrote today.

I rarely make the same card twice so I am not going to even try to tell you all of the stamps or techniques that I have used on these or I would bore you to sleep, and the post would take me a week to write.
You can of course always leave me a message and I will try and answer your queries.
We are celebrating Christmas Jumper Day tomorrow at work, so I had better go and borrow one from the kids.
By for now.
