Love is All we Need

Evening All,

I hope that you have all had a fabulous Valentines Day being spoilt by your loved ones.

So here are a couple of cards that I made using one of the designs from Designer Boutique.
Perfect for Valentines Day,
a wedding,
or an anniversary,

I'm hoping that our boiler plays the game tonight. It has been playing up over the last few days with more than one visit from our friendly heating engineer. It made the most dreadful racket all last night with no heat to show for it, so I am hoping that it will behave tonight since my lack of sleep is starting to catch up with me. And I really can't face a cold shower tomorrow.......it's too damn cold.

Thanks for stopping by.

Stay safe....and warm :O)

With Love on Valentines Day

Evening Everyone,
Well we seem to have worked our way through all types of weather over the last few weeks - snow, howling winds, torrential rain and brilliant sunshine.
Just so long as it doesn't revert back to the blizzard conditions that we were experiencing on this day 40 years ago.
How do I remember you ask yourself? Because I was in labour with my eldest daughter, and my Dad was frantically trying to drive us to the hospital in Greenwich London, for her immanent birth.
Fortunately we made it, and she arrived safely at 1.30am the following day, 15th February. The weather was so bad that although her Granddad made it home having dropped us off, her Dad had to stay put. The nurses very kindly pushed two chairs together in a side room so that he could get a few hours sleep before he battled the elements to get home on public transport.
That was certainly a very memorable way to spend Valentines Day.
I made the c following cards using some lovely Stickeroos from Penny Black.

I hope that you all had a fabulous day with your loved ones.
Happy Valentines Day to you All.

Vintage Hearts and Love

Evening Everyone,
Have you had a good day full of crafting, I have.
I've managed to catch up on a few of the challenges and prep for my class next weekend, so all is good.
Let's hope that I can stay organised.
This week at Woodware Challenge 83 is Vintage Hearts and Love.
As usual I am very late to the party, maybe I will do better next week.
For my card I have used a fabulous Magenta stamp 37.257Q Retro Romance that I bought when I was in Skipton in August. It is such a fabulous stamp which has embossed beautifully using Versamark ink and Gold Embossing powder.
I trimmed the image and then sponged it with Antique Linen Distress ink. The hearts and flowers are painted using Victorian Velvet Distress ink and the leaves with Bundled Sage.
I also added some Stardust Gelly Roll pen which is very hard to see in this photo.
The gold embossed script  on the left-hand side of the card is actually one of the new Woodware stamps designed by the lovely Jane Gill. I hope that Dorothy doesn't mind me giving you a sneak peek.
I added some 30mm Cream Organza which I heated using my heat gun. It shrivels nicely to give added texture. Make sure that you tie the bow first, it's much easier that way.
Some assorted pearls complete the card.
I would like to enter it into the following challenges
Crazy 4 Challenges - Ribbons and Bows
4 Crafty Chicks - Ribbon and Bows
365 Cards - Be Mine Valentine
Hope you like it.
