LOVE

Evening Everyone,
Have you had a good Wednesday?
Having had such a successful weekend, I seem to have hit a bit of a creative wall.
I think it is because I am so looking forward to going to stay at Janice and Andy's at the weekend that I can't get settled into starting anything new.
Anyway it's not like I don't have anything to share with you is it. My suitcase is already full of cards to take with me for them to add to their very extensive gallery.
This is one that won't be heading to Peterboro with me as it has already been sent to a dear friend and her husband for their Wedding Anniversary.
The central image is a Lili of the Valley topper and I also added a stamped and embossed Clarity heart.
I adore this 'love' die. Once again I have cut it in both red and gold to create a slight shadow.
The kraft card had also been stamped using versamark ink and my Hero Arts Leafy Swirl.
I keep thinking of extra bits and pieces that I need to take with me, no wonder it always feels like I have half my craft room with me lol.

A Wise Old Owl tells Me.....

Morning Everyone.
With a bit of luck you will be reading this with a nice cup of coffee and the TV tuned to Create and Craft to watch Hobby Art Jenny launch her latest stamp collection.
This card was made using a stamp set that you may have already seen, but it's very cute none the less.
I meant to add some Glossy Accents to his eyes, but in my haste to get all of the samples ready for collection I forgot. Never mind there is always next time.
I thought that this lovely Marianne die lent itself to being a perch for another owl, so I added some stamped leaves using another of the stamps from the set.
Jenny will be back on the TV this afternoon at 3pm, unless she has a sell out of course, so I will be able to watch that with my very own cup of coffee.
Have fun and enjoy.

For Clarity with Love

Evening All
I hope that you are all looking forward to a craft filled weekend. I certainly am, I have new DT stamps to play with and I can't wait.
I thought that it was about time that I entered another challenge, and what better place to start than with the Clarity challenge which this month is Love and Romance.
This was much easier to do since I have now sorted out my Clarity stamps and I can actually see what I have got lol. I used NDC22-G Arty Heart as the center piece for my card, stamped, embossed and sponged using Adirondack ink.
The background has been created using a combination of Clarity stencils, stamps and more ink.
I also added a few extra dots to the sentiment, some faux stitching around the outer edge and some Card Candi..
The die cut is a new toy that I acquired at Davina's last weekend.
I cut 'Love' from red and white card stock and layered one over the other to add a slight shadow.
I hope this fits the bill for the challenge, I certainly had fun creating it.
Have a good weekend.

Monochromatic Purple at Crafty Cardmakers

Hi All
As I suspected I slept through the storm. I hope that you are all safe and well and that there wasn’t too much damage to your neck of the woods.
We got away almost completely unscathed, unless you count the few things blown over in the garden, but nothing major. Probably the worst that we have had to contend with is that our Internet connection seems a little patchy although fortunately the Sky box is unaffected.
Today we are starting a new challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers.
Fiona is our host and she has chosen Monochromatic Purple, as that is her favourite colour.
My card has been created using the Bordered Poppy stamp designed by one of our fabulous sponsors Hobby Art. I just love this stamp, it has got to be one of my favourites.
I stamped and embossed the image onto watercolour card using  black Versafine and clear embossing powder.
The colour was added using the ‘Wet Watercolour Technique’ and several different shades of Purple Pearlex from the Vintage, Stargazer and Metallics palettes.
The greeting down the left hand side of the card is from another favourite Hobby Art Stamp, and I have layered the watercoloured panel over a diecut shape cut using what I think is a Marianne Die.
I also added a circular panel in co-ordinating card and a piece of ribbon and some gems from my stash.
Don't forget to check out what the rest of the team have come up with to inspire you.
I'm not going to take any chances with this post, it has taken me most of the day to get on line.
Have a great evening.

The Great Escape

Evening Everyone
Well, no one could say that life living in the same house as your 4 Grandchildren could be considered uneventful!!
Usually when I get up in the morning the house is silent as everyone is still sound asleep (5am has that effect on most sane people lol)
This morning however was a totally different matter with footsteps up and down the stairs and lots of giggling from as early as 4am.
I discovered the reason for all the hilarity when I got home this afternoon and discovered that we had had an escapee during the night. My Grandsons hamster 'Fang' had somehow managed to get out of her cage and climb 3 flights of stairs to the room in the loft.
She managed to evade capture for quite some time, taunting everyone with appearances which looked like she was standing there saying 'Nuh nuh I'm here come and get me' before disappearing again.
I'm afraid that the pictures aren't up to much, she wouldn't stay still for long enough!!.
I thought that this card reflected the feelings of everyone in the house. This is how they would have liked to have spent the afternoon.
It was made using a Lili of the Valley die cut and my Nesties.
The background papers are from a couple of Basic Grey 6x6 paper pads. I added Glossy Accents to the dots on this section.
The 'tree' is actually a Marianne die of a branch.
I would like to enter this into the challenge over at Lili of the Valley where they are looking for cards for Boys or Men.
Let's hope that everyone gets a little more sleep tonight.
All I can say is Thank Goodness it is nearly the weekend.

Finally a card to share for Technique Time Tuesday

Evening Everyone,
And another very late one at that. Still I  finally have some pictures to share with you.
I try and check out the technique each month that Mynnette shares with everyone over at Technique Time Tuesday. This month it is the Brick Wall Technique.
I thought that I would give it a go using a piece of artwork from my bits box, and so I chose this water coloured image made using Distress Ink pads and a spritzing bottle.
Check out the tutorial at Technique Time Tuesday for good step by step instructions.
The little green flowers have been made using a couple of my new Marianne dies, purchased at SirStampalot of course.
The lovely 'Molly Blooms Clare' showed me how to make fluffy pink flower, and I introduced her to the die for the leaves, a very fair trade I think, although my tip made her spend more money lol.
I wasn't sure how well this would work with a sentiment already stamped on the original panel, but I am very pleased with the results.
More flowers. The dies come in two different sizes which makes them really good value.
I will have to edit this tomorrow with all the links, I am just too tired tonight.
Night night
