Happy Birthday Jack

Evening,

OMG it's Monday again. It comes around so quickly these days, and it was a rather fresh one too this morning. Lovely and bright, but perishing cold. A regular customer and I decided that we are definitely wimps when we saw several people in T shirts. We will stick to our winter coats and scarves thank you very much.

It was a special little boys birthday on Friday. My youngest Grandson turned 3. He has a very good vocabulary, but has also found the phrase 'It's not fair!!', with stamped feet for maximum effect. Even his 4 year old sister has started looking at him and saying 'Life's not fair'. She has obviously heard us say it far too many times lol.

He is heavily into Paw Patrol, but also likes dinosaurs, so I went with this rather fabulous image from Polkadoodles Sticks and Bones Collection.
You can buy individual digi images both coloured and line art,
or you can go for the bundle which inculdes all sorts of extra elements including backgrounds.
I die cut the image using an oval die and added a glitter matt and layer.
I trimmed the background image and added it to a large kraft card.
before adding Jack's name and a sentiment strip.

Once again Mummy impressed us all with her cake making skills.
Thanks for stopping by.

Cards for Kids

Evening Everyone,
It may have been Christmas, but people still had birthdays, so I did try to make sure that I sent those cards out. In fact I think some people may have actually got their cards early, which is kind of a first for me I think!!
I made quite a few cards for 'Little People' before Christmas in a bid to use up some bits and pieces.

I do love this Sue Wilson alphabet die.
It is so useful,
and as you can see you can also use the 'leftover' section
as a great background to a card.

I think I might even try it as a stencil when I get the chance to play for me again.
These are a couple of other cards that I made using some rather cute Magnolia stamps.
I managed to use up quite a few bits of background paper on these cards.
As well as some rather pretty floral buttons.
Better get some shut eye now.

Cute Cards for Kids

Morning Everyone,
I wonder what the weather will be doing today?
We seem to have gone through snow, a heatwave, and torrential rain, all in the space of a couple of weeks!!
I have been trying to do a little tidying up on my laptop, perhaps it will encourage it to play the game for a while.
It has been a bit of a challenge working out where to start sharing samples with you, so I decided on a few cute cards for kids that I made recently.

This one uses a LOTV topper, papers from my stash and some punched photo corners.
I made a couple of cards using a rather old Tilda image that was lurking in my 'bits box'
They were already coloured in which was a bonus, and I managed to find a few pieces of co-ordinating paper and Card Candi,
The last two have been created using a couple of Penny Black stickeroos. It is amazing what you can find when you have to make a few cards in a hurry.
I hope that you all have a great day, and that the weather is kind. What else can we possibly get weather wise?
Happy Crafting, hugs

Wow, what a weekend!!

Evening Everyone,
I have had a rather unexpected end to the weekend, extra babysitting detail of the Grandchildren and a couple of extra bodies!!
The weekend started off in a rather relaxing manner some friends round for a BBQ, despite the rather overcast weather.
It was actually a rather belated birthday treat for my 'surrogate son-in-law'.
All was going well apart from the fact that he had been stung by a wasp earlier in the day and his hand was continuing to swell (he is allergic to wasp stings and had already been to A&E)
After much discussion, and quite a bit of persuasion, he went back to the hospital only to be put in an ambulance which sped off at 90 miles and hour to East Grinstead where a team of doctors were waiting for his arrival!!
The upshot of it was a night spent at the hospital hooked up to a drip, with his wife and my daughter there for company (they had gone with him to A&E) and all of the children sleeping over here.
I ended up pulling Child Watch detail, they are all well past the baby stage, until everyone returned early this afternoon after my Sin-in-law had gone to collect them.
All the grown ups had been awake all night so as you can imagine there were a lot of rather tired people in need of coffee and feeding.
Rather appropriately tonight I have several cards to share that were made for members of the younger generation.
I'm sure that this is how everyone would have preferred to spend the weekend.
We could have done with a little wizardry today,
And once again a little relaxation would not have gone amiss.
It was a birthday celebration I know but this is definitely not what the Birthday Boy looked like lol.
All of the cards have been made using Lili of the Valley toppers, so easy to use when you need a card in a hurry.
Lets hope that tomorrow is a little less frantic, I think that there will be quite a few grown ups in need of match sticks to prop open their eyes. Let's hope that they all get a good nights sleep.
