Sentiment Challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and More

Hi All,
Are you having a good start to your week?
We have a new challenge for you over at CCM&More, where Jackie wants to see your creations with an added sentiment.
I chose to share a card that I made for a friend at work on her Special Birthday.
I die cut the numbers from kraft card, highlighting them with Platinum Glitter Glue. The sentiments are a mixture of Woodware and LOTV.
I love this circular stamp, it is so good for marking the date of a special celebration with a drop of Glossy Accents.
The flowers have been die cut from paper to match the background, as have the leaves. Glitter domes make fab flower centres.
I had to get a bit of stamping in there on the background paper with ne of my favourite stamps Hero Arts F5042 Leaf Flourish.
I chose turquoise for the colour scheme of the card as this is Tharu's favourite colour.
I would like to enter it in the following challenges - I haven't done that in a while :O)
Craft for the Craic  - The Big Occasion
Aloha Friday challenge  - Birthday
Dragonfly Dreams - We are having a Special Occasion
Glitter and Sparkle Challenge 143 - Sentimental (Must have a sentiment)

My Mum text me today to say that she had been sent an alert that told the elderly to stay indoors due to the heat, so I am taking her advice.
What a great excuse to sit and craft if ever I needed one lol.
Have a great evening.

A Lazy Summer Day

Evening Everyone,
Have you had a good weekend?
I really must get back to this blogging lark.
June has been one of those months where I seem to have had a card to send practically every day. In fact there have been some days where I have had two or even three. I think that I must be keeping the Post Office in business lol.
So you see it certainly hasn't been a lack of things to share with you that has kept me away, just a lack of time and the inclination to get on to the computer if I am honest.
This was one of the cards that I made for a young friend of ours. I suspect that this may be how he would have liked to spend the day as it was really rather hot on his birthday.
Once again I reached for my trusty LOTV toppers and a circular nestie.
I am on a bit of a mission to use up bits and pieces from my box which is where I found all of the die cuts,
along with the greeting.
The background was created with a fabulous embossing folder that I purchased a little while ago.
I was really pleased with how it turned out, and I hope that Max liked it.
We have another new challenge starting over at CCM&More, so I had better be back tomorrow, when it starts, with my DT card.
See you then. Happy Crafting.

One Very Happy Bunny

Evening Everyone,
We have one very happy bunny in our house tonight.
After much hard work, my youngest Granddaughter Saskia has gone up a colour in her reading. She was very pleased with herself.
Of course I will now expect to be read a bedtime story.

Happy Father's Day Daddy

Evening Everyone,
Happy Father's Day to all those wonderful Dad's out there.
This is a very special card that I was asked to make for a very special someone today.
My Granddaughter Saskia helped pick the LOTV topper and then the rest was left up to me.
I used one of fabulous Huge Word stamps designed for Woodware by Francoise and a bit of paper piecing with papers to match the image.
The sentiment is also from LOTV and I added a die cut DooHickey fence.
Daddy was added to a DooHickey cloud using die cut letters.
I'm hoping that by now this has safely been delivered and that I am not spoiling the surprise by posting it.
I hope that this and every other Daddy was well and truly spoilt today, and lets share a special thought for all of those wonderful Dad's no longer with us.
Hugs to you all

A card using the Woodware Sketch

Evening Everyone,
Where did the last week disappear to? And I started it off so well.
I have managed to be creative, I just don't seem to have got back into blogging on a regular basis.
One of the cards that I made this weekend is using the latest sketch over on the Woodware blog.
I have turned it onto it's side for my card.
The background to my stamped panel is from my 'bits box' but if memory serves it was made using some sprayed inks, a little bit of pearlex added to the inks and some cling film.
You have to be patient and leave the cling film in place until the panel is completely dry, but I think that you will agree that it is worth the wait.
The stamps are from an old Stampendous set.
You may have realised by now that I am a lover of silhouette flowers and leaves. They go so well with inky backgrounds, another favourite of mine.
The greeting is from the same floral stamp set, in fact there are a number of different sentiments.
The dotty background is from one of the lovely paper pads that Woodware also sell.
Let's hope that I can do a little better in the blogging world next week.
For now, Good Night and a gig hug

For a Man/Boy at CCM&More

Evening Everyone,
Are you impressed to see me? I'm back with my card for the new challenge over at CCM&More, and on the right day no less lol.

Vania is hosting today and with Father’s Day fast approaching she wants to see your creations for the men/boys in your life. So anything that is suitable for a man or boy will be fine.
This card was actually made a little while ago for a friend to give her Son.
She provided me with photographs of his car
and a copy of the Mini logo,
and left everything else up to me.
She wanted the card to have his name on it.
And it was a big birthday so that needed to be there too.
I used several embossing folders, sticky embossing powder, silver pearlex powder, brads and charms.
I even created some tyre prints courtesy of some Lego wheels borrowed from my Grandson.
She was so thrilled with the card that she has asked me to make another one later on in the year, all I need is a new set of photos.
Hope you have time to join us.
Thanks for stopping by.

Thank you for sticking with me.

Hello Strangers,
Well how rubbish am I.
Just lately life seems to have taken over, and although I have managed to do a little on the creative front, anything computer related has been the last thing on my mind.
In fact it was only as I placed my card on the CCM&More blog ready for the launch of the latest challenge tomorrow, that I realised that I hadn't got around to blogging my card for the last challenge - Stitching real or faux.
See I said I was rubbish didn't I.
I chose this card for the challenge especially to say thank you to all my lovely Teamies for helping me out over the past few weeks. Well that worked didn't it lol.
The main panel has been created using an old Penny Black stamp and Distress inks.
I inked the stamp with the distress inks and then spritzed it with water before stamping it out several times.
I added some Faux Stitching, after all that was the challenge :O),
and layered it over some embossed pearlescent card.
Let's hope that I remember to blog my card tomorrow for the new challenge, and that you can find the time to visit.
Thanks for stopping by.
