Sketch 52 at Woodware

Morning Everyone,
It is my turn to post over at Woodware today where this week we have a sketch to work with.
For my take on the sketch I chose another of Jane's fabulous floral stamps JGS445 Meadow Flower.
I stamped and embossed it on to a piece of handmade background paper and then coloured it with Starlight pens and a white Gelli Roll glaze pen.
The dotty background paper is from a 6x6 paper pad, and the sentiment is from SSC1115 Birthday Wish.
I also stamped and embossed the image on to some blue card and coloured that as well.
I do love sketches, they are a great place to start if ever you are lost for inspiration, so why not play along with us this week and show us how they have inspired you.
Here is the sketch to remind you.
Have a great, crafty weekend.

1,2,3 with Woodware and CraftyCardmakers

Morning All,
It's my turn over at Woodware today, where we are playing along with Crafty Cardmakers.

CraftyCardMakers2016Header
The theme for the week is – 1 2 3

that is one stamped image, 2 papers and 3 different embellishments.
For my image I chose JGS446 Whimsical Flower Sally Anne, which was also chosen by Jane earlier in the week.
I stamped and embossed the image onto a piece of handmade background paper (watercolour card used to mop up excess ink on my craft mat)
I painted the stamped image using the same dye based inks and added a little starlight pen.
My two papers are from Craftwork Cards 8x8 pads Potting Shed and Vintage Backgrounds.
For my three different embellishments I have used dark brown stitched ribbon, Card Candi and a large wooden button.
The sentiment is from another fabulous Woodware stamp set JGS445 Meadow Flowers.
I hope that you are enjoying this weeks challenge and feel inspired to join in with us.
Happy Crafting.

Happy Birthday

Evening Everyone,
Long time no see.
I've been suffering with a cold for the last few weeks which has just about wiped me out.
Yes I know it's only a cold, inconvenient and annoying, but I was getting fed up with coughing and spluttering.
Still I seem to be just about back to normal now. I'm late with my snail mail cards, so things must be back to normal lol.
Here is a card that should have been delivered today.
In my defence this one should have been hand delivered to two young men who come in to the garage on their way to school.
The traffic was appalling this morning so I assume that they were running late and Mum didn't have time to stop. Never mind they will just have to extend the celebrations in to tomorrow, when hopefully they will have time to stop by.
The main image is a pre-coloured topper from Lili of the Valley die cut using one of my circular nesties.
The main sentiment is from an old Hobby Art clear stamp set.
The background to the card has been made using a Clarity leafy stencil and some dye based inks. I added a hand drawn border using a micron pen and coloured pencils.
I also added a little gold gilding wax (which doesn't show up in the photos) and some tiny stamped sentiments from a Woodware stamp set.
I hope that they have had a wonderful day today, along with my crafty friend Cheryl and of course her Majesty.
Weren't they lovely pictures of her and the Great/Grandchildren in the papers today?
Have a great evening what ever you are doing.

Vintage and Lace with Woodware

Morning Everyone,
I hope that you have had a good week.
Today it is my turn to share a card with you over at Woodware.
This week we are looking at Vintage and Lace.
I have stamped and embossed JGS308 Heart Garden in gold and then coloured it using Watercolour Pearlex.
I used a Dreamweaver stencil to create the background panel, dry embossed and coloured using brown dye based ink. I attached a strip of lace and ribbon to the panel before adding it to the main card.
I stamped and embossed the same image around the edges of the main card and then sponged the whole thing with dye based inks.
A few tiny pearls continue the vintage theme.
I hope that you will check out what the rest of the team have made this week HERE.
Have a great weekend.

Shaped Cards at CraftyCardmakers

Hi All,
I'm sorry that I have been fairly MIA lately, I just don't know where time has gone to.
We have a new challenge over at CraftyCardmakers this week, where our host Jackie is looking for Shaped Cards. So definitely no Squares or Rectangles.
Now I love making shaped cards, especially with one of my favourite Go Create dies for the base.

My card was made for a friend to give in celebration of a Ruby Wedding Anniversary.
I used a selection of dies from my stash
and added a little bit of bling with some tiny red gems and a little sparkle medium to edge the red card.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges. I haven't done that in a while lol.
Little Red Wagon - Celebrate
Melonheadz Friends - Throw on Flowers
Lawnscaping Challenges - Beautiful Florals
Don't forget to stop by and show the rest of the team some love. (Here)

STM_HMFC215hop_banner4

To celebrate this The House-Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge Blog is happy to be hosting a unique challenge for everyone for the next two weeks. To make it extra special we will be using not only the cuddly creatures but combining them with the wonderful Dreamweaver Stencils which are also part of the Stampendous stable.
We have prizes so would love you to join in with us as we hop around the world for 2 whole weeks, REMEMBER the hosts are House-Mouse and Friends and they are a challenge blog so to play along please add you link on their blog we are really looking forward to seeing your creation there, full instructions and links are at the bottom of this post.

It's time for me to join in the fun over at House Mouse and Friends Monday challenge where once again Woodware are joining up with our Friends at Stampendous to bring you ideas using House Mouse stamps and Dreamweaver stencils.
My card this week uses HMCM01 Fall Float. I have stamped and embossed using Vintage Sepia Versafine ink and clear embossing powder and coloured using dye based inks.
I stamped and embossed the leaves several times and fussy cut them before adding them to the card using silicon glue for added dimension.
The background to the card has been created using LG616 Leaves, stencil paste, dye based inks and gilding wax.
The sentiment from Stampendous has been die cut using a Dreamweaver die.
I never know what I am going to end up with when I first start making a card so there are often lots of left over bits and pieces.
Now as you know I am on a mission to finish them all off, so there are several extra cards this week.
I hope that you will join us again for another week of cute inspiration.

KimX (you are here)
THEME:
We’re celebrating stencils, and using them with our House-Mouse Designs® images. We’re going to bring you tons of inspiration over the next two weeks, and we can’t wait to see what you enter into the challenge! You may use ANY House-Mouse Designs® images or characters on your project, and any stencils and stenciling techniques that you like. There is never any purchase necessary to enter. And, of course, as always on the HMFMCB, “anything goes” is always an entry option.  Link your entry to the linky tool by the end of Friday, April 8, 2016.
There are prizes!! Three entries, chosen at random, will win 1-HMD Stampendous Cling Rubber Stamp, 1 – Large Dreamweaver Stencils Background Stencil, and 1 – Jar of Embossing Paste.  This contest is open to everyone!!
Even though you will be entering to win by linking up a challenge piece, we sure hope that you’ll hop around to each designer’s blog and leave a sweet “eek” of delight at their inspiration! They’ve worked hard to create something you’ll love! Please give them some love right back! Here are the links to the Sponsor’s blogs and our designers playing today: (If a blog isn’t live when you visit, they might still be sleeping! Please, check back in a few hours!)
HOW TO ENTER:
  1. Create something fun and a little bit wonderful. It’s not a talent show, winners are randomly selected. Use an HMD image plus a stencil on your work (or choose “anything goes”). It doesn’t have to be a card, it can be any kind of project. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
  2. Post your creation online. You can post it anywhere that will give it a unique URL (internet address). Most folks have a blog, but you can post on Flickr, or PhotoBucket, or even on your Google+ account. (ps…creating a blog is free! What are you waiting for?)
  3. Get the URL for the specific post that contains your project – click on the title of your post, copy the URL from your browser’s title bar, click on the inLinkz picture on the HMFMCB post, paste your URL into the tool. Add your name and email address and voila, you’re entered!

Thanks for stopping by.
