Leaf Quilt Accessories
Evening Everyone
I hope that you have all had a good day and that you are not suffering too badly with the horrible weather. It has been rather soggy here, but I must admit to preferring that to snow.
I can't believe that we are already at the end of another year.
I'm sure that we all have grand intentions for 2014, let's hope that we can all live up to them.
Dorothy has given Team Woodware a couple of weeks off over Christmas and the New Year so we are sharing some of the samples from the new Spring 2014 catalogue with you to whet your appetite and get your shopping lists started.
I was lucky enough to work with some of Jane Gill's fabulous stamp designs, but I'm sure that my shopping list will get even longer once I have seen Francoise designs as well lol.
I have two cards for you tonight, both using Leaf Quilt Accessories JGS340.
I have coloured the stamped and embossed images using dye based inks and the 'Wet Watercolour' technique.
I cut out each of the images and mounted them onto a deckle edged panel.
The background paper is also available from Woodware as is the olive colour ribbon.
The circles are stamped and embossed using Versafine ink and clear embossing powder and then Glossy Accents has been added.
This card has been made in the same manner just on a slightly smaller scale.

If you check out the Woodware website you will notice that the cards have been photographed the wrong way round, still I suppose that at least that shows that they work which ever way you stamp them.
I hope that you all have a wonderful evening in the company of your friends and loved ones.
Here's to a very healthy and happy 2014 for everyone.

A Fabulous Fairy
Evening Everyone,
Wow, what a difference.
After the hectic few days of last week, today has been REALLY SLOW. Which of course makes the whole day drag, especially when you start thinking of all those projects you could be getting on with at home. It's so frustrating, I would much rather be rushed off my feet.
Still at least I manage to cross another couple of things off my 'To Do List' last night. In fact I'm almost ahead with my DT work which is some what of a miracle.
One of the cards that I managed to finish over the weekend is this one that I made for a customer at the garage.
She asked for a card with Fairies for her Mum's 70th birthday next week so out came one of my lovely Lili of the Valley die cuts.
Of course there had to be some ribbon and foliage.
And some background paper made using my favourite hexagonal dies.
She came and collected it from me today, so I know that she likes it.
I have another sneak peek for you tomorrow, so why not stop back and see what fabulous Woodware stamp set I will be sharing with you.
Hugs Kimx

Another Woodware sneak peek
Hi All
What lovely blue skies we have here at the moment, lets hope they last.
I thought that I would do my post early today so that I don't have to stop.
Today is another of the sneak peeks from the new Woodware Spring 2014catalogue.
This time the card has been made using JGS338 Jane’s Geometric Leaves.
I stamped and embossed the images onto watercolour card using Sepia Versafine ink and clear embossing powder.
The leaves and background have then been coloured using distress inks.
The black card stock has been stamped and embossed using Versamark ink and clear embossing powder and then painted using thin undiluted bleach.
The uncoloured leaves have been fussy cut and then mounted onto the cards using Silicon.
This is a fabulous stamp set which I can see will be very useful for all of those Men's cards.
Have a great day.
Happy Crafting.

Goodwill to All
Hi All
Are you having a good weekend?
Mine has been quite productive. I made myself a long list of things that I need to do this morning and have managed to cross off a couple of them so I feel like I am making progress.
I didn't however manage to get any pictures taken so here is yet another Christmas card. At least this one got sent and not put back in the box for next year lol.
The holly leaves are stamped and embossed onto the card using a Rollagraph, versamark ink and gold embossing powder. They are then coloured using Distress inks.
The sentiment has been cut out using a Nestie.
I don't often make single layer cards so I was pleased with how this one turned out.
In fact I think I might make a few more of these to get my Christmas card box started for next year.
I hope you get the chance to stop back tomorrow for another 'sneak peek' card from the new Woodware
catalogue.

Chocolate Sprouts anyone?
Evening Everyone
Yeah it's the weekend and we have just started it with a lovely Christmas dinner.
Yes, I know Christmas Day was on Wednesday, but one of the problems with eating elsewhere is that there are no leftovers for 'Bubble and Squeak', hence the dinner tonight lol.
Everyone seemed to have a lovely time both at the Pub on Wednesday and this evening.
Saskia wanted to be the barmaid.
And this is the first time that Reece ever offered to do the washing up.
Becki wanted a picture of the kids sitting in the ice pond,
and 'Chef Andy' decided to join them having slid across the floor.
Even Mum and Dad got in on the act.
There is a rule in our house that you have to have at least one sprout with Christmas dinner. The kids kicked up a bit of a fuss, as usual, so I decided to trick them a little today. M&S sold little nets of chocolate wrapped to look like sprouts so after the kids all moaned when I suggested that they need one sprout with dinner I swapped it for a chocolate one. Funnily enough they all wanted seconds :O)
I'm looking forward to a nice little lie in tomorrow, which will no doubt mean someone will wake me up early.

One stamp set, 3 different looks
Evening Everyone
I hope that you have had a lovely day.
We have been ridiculously busy again today so much so that I ended up coming home and falling asleep, I think the last couple of weeks have finally caught up on me.
These are a couple of cards that I made using a lovely Woodware stamp set designed by Francoise Reid.
One stamp set, three different looks.
I do like solid image stamps, and this is a particularly nice set.
Let's hope tomorrow is slightly less crazy at work.
Still it's nearly the weekend again thank goodness, so maybe I will get the chance to catch up with a few things.

Tracking Santa
Evening Everyone,
Are you all sorted for tomorrow? No me neither!!
I am finally admitting defeat on the Christmas card front, I think that I am going to adopt a good friends ploy - The Post Office ate my cards lol.
So if you usually receive a card from me and it doesn't appear, please don't think less of me, just wait until next year.
Here are a few more cards using one of Jane Gill's fabulous stamps designed especially to be used with Card Candi.
Once again most of them use background papers from my stash and an assortment of Card Candi.
I am just off to catch up with the latest siteing of Santa - the Grandchildren and I have been checking Norad on and off all evening as we check Santas progress around the World.
I promised them that I would try and see what time he comes to England. Oh the things we do to keep the little, and big, kids happy.
I hope that you all have a fabulous day tomorrow. I will be at work at 6am as usual, but then it's off to the Pub in the evening for a lock in and some family funtime.
Oh look Santa has just been spotted over Paris, France so I had better keep my eyes open, he should be over us very soon lol.

A Woodware Sneak Peek
Hi All
As promised here is the first of several sneak peeks from the new Woodware catalogue which is due in the shops early next year.
I actually had to make this particular card several times since as well as being in the UK catalogue it was also destined for America to feature in the Notions catalogue.
The punched border has been created using the Crafty Edger, and the flower centres are Card Candi.
I had every intention of posting this to coincide with the Woodware Blog post but as usual things didn't go to plan.
I have spent a rather fretful day waiting for news of my youngest daughter who was undergoing surgery this morning.
Fortunately all is well and she has been allowed home, but cannot be left alone so I have stepped into the breach until her partner finishes work.
Have laptop will travel, but dinner and cleaning out the cat tray has come before blogging.
Of course no Christmas cards have been written, so maybe I will have to leave them all for next year now.
Don't forget to check out the Woodware blog again tomorrow as there will be more cards featuring some of the fabulous new stamps designed by Jane Gill and Francoise Reid.
Time for her pills so I will sign off now.
Hugs Kimx

I actually had to make this particular card several times since as well as being in the UK catalogue it was also destined for America to feature in the Notions catalogue.
The spiky flower stamped onto the green card stock is JGS188 Dorothy.
The flower stamped onto the paler background paper is Georgina JGS186.
The smaller flowers come from the set JGS341 Mini Flowers which includes four of Jane’s new flowers in a complementary size to the larger single ones.
On this card I added some small pearls to the punched border.
The greeting stamped down the right hand side of the card is JGS901 Birthday Text Box. This is a fabulous small stamp which is easy to repeat.
The flowers have all been stamped and embossed onto background papers available through Woodware. The punched border has been created using the Crafty Edger, and the flower centres are Card Candi.

A few more Christmas pictures
Evening Everyone
Well I would like to say that I have finally finished all of my cards, but despite being chained to the desk all day there are still quite a few left to write.
I know that they will be late arriving anyway but I have sensibly written all of the ones that need to be posted, if you can call it that when you leave it so close to the big day.
Here are another batch of the Quick and Easy Christmas cards that I made.
Where would I be without my Lili of the Valley toppers, great when you need a large batch of cards in a hurry. They may be fairly quick to make but I think they still look classy.
I will have to get them all finished tomorrow, if I can or there will be a load more that will have to be posted instead of hand delivered.
Tomorrow I will also be starting a series of sneak peeks from the new Woodware catalogue that is due in the shops in January, so don't forget to check in if you get the chance.
Off to find a big enough carrier bag, and a bank loan for the postage lol.
hugs Kimx
