Evening All,
It's a good job that The Crafty Cardmakers Design Team is very laid back as I'm late with my post again :O)
With that in mind why not consider joining our happy band since we are looking for some new members.
We have all taken a little bit of a sabbatical over the summer to give our illustrious leader Lin the chance to move home, but now we are back and our first challenge is one set by Feebsy who thought that with the UK hosting the Olympics in London that an Olympic theme would be a great challenge.
So we have a sporting theme. Any sport will do but it would be brilliant if there were some sports that form part of the Olympic Games, either Summer or Winter.
We are sponsored for this challenge by Hobby Art and Di's Digi Downloads.
So on to my card for the challenge.
Sorry for the shadows in the photograph I have to grab my opportunities to take pictures when I can, and I just couldn't seem to get a decent photo without the shadow.
I'm really not into sport, as I think I have pointed out before, but even I have caught Olympic fever having watched Bradley Wiggins, Sir Chris Hoy and the rest of our fabulous team, so my card is in honour of our cyclists (and every other member of Team GB of course).
I have used images from a Lili of the Valley die cut sheet that I have had forever.
I cut them out using circular nesties, and mounted them onto background papers are from my stash.
The smaller images have been mounted over circles created from card covered in gold, silver and bronze embossing powder.
The card started out following the challenge over at Allsorts where they were looking for you to CASE a card, but I soon realised that my post wasn't due to go live till that particular challenge had finished.
The greeting is from a Woodware sentiments set FRCL079 Male Relatives.
I hope that you will feel inspired to join us this time round, and don't forget to give a thought to joining the team. Like I say we are very laid back.
Better go and do some commenting now, it's one of the things that I am really bad at.
I don't mean to be but I just get so involved with making my cards that I don't seem to find the time to go on line.
I really must try and do better, but not tonight
hugs Kimx.

Such a gorgeous card. And its difficult not to be inspired by our cyclists at the games isn't it - they are doing so great. xx
ReplyDeleteI love this image!! Have to admit I've been watching the cycling (amongst many other sports)and absolutely loved it!! Cxx
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun card. I can just imagine some of the cycling team starting out in the sport or children today being inspired by them and looking like this. Great papers too and I really like the embossed "medals" - what a clever idea.
