Hug and Kisses and Birthday Wishes

Hi All
I hope that you have had a good day.
I can't believe how different the weather has been, wet and miserable today compared to yesterdays bright and beautiful, which is definitely what it was 14 years ago when my Granddaughter was born.
This is the card and birthday badge that I made for Megan.
The image is from Lili of the Valley cut out and mounted with circular nesties.
The background is hand made using my Creative Palette, inks, Stampendous stamps and some bubble wrap.
I also stamped and embossed over the top using Versamark ink and Wine Frantage powder.
The flower and leaves are all die cut from some  Kraft card and I added a few buds and wired gems.
The sentiments are from a fabulous Lili of the Valley set.
I made Meggie a badge to wear even though it is probably not very 'cool',
They had a bit of a birthday picnic after school, which even the dog wanted to join in on.
Megan is having a sleepover at the week end, so I suspect that there will be even more giggling and noise.

Juice and Cookies

Evening Everyone,
Just a very quick post tonight, all this standing around with no customers is making me very tired.
I read the Radio Times cover to cover, and even did some colouring (good job the Boss is on holiday!!) but today has really dragged. Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday.
This was one of several cards made last year using background papers from my stash and some Lili of the Valley diecuts. I gave the card to one of the lads that Jenni looks after for his birthday last week.
I can see that I will have to make a few more of these as they are very useful to have around when you need a card in a hurry.

Happy Birthday Rithika

Hi All
Another wet and miserable day here, so lets throw a little sunshine on the proceedings with this card that I made for my Boss's daughter. At least it made him smile, and her too.
With everything that has been going on at work just lately Sega forgot to speak to me about making a card, but as his daughters are written into my birthday planner I made one over the weekend so as not to be caught out like last year.
The main image is a Lili of the Valley topper, die cut using a circular Grand Nestie.
I added some faux stitching and then mounted it onto purple card stock die cut using my favourite Go Create die.
The main background is a piece of white card which has been dry embossed with dye based ink on the folder before running it through the machine. It has also been spritzed with assorted Glimmer Mists.
The sentiments are all from Lili of the Valley, but her name has been spelt with die cut letters.
The die cut leaves match the stamped images on the purple card stock and are by Penny Black.
Today has seen more rain fall, although fortunately no where near the cyclone levels that they forecast. Long may their predictions be wrong I say :O)
People have still been driving though like lunatics with no care for anyone else. They also appear to be oblivious to the police presence.
I actually witnessed a driver continue to drive through the flood water despite the policeman standing in front of him with his arm raised telling him to stop. There was quite a cheer when the police officer pulled him over and gave him a ticket lol.
Oh well lets see what tomorrow brings.

Teacher Gifts

Evening Everyone,
I can't believe that my few days at SirStampalot are nearly at an end.
I have been working upstairs in their unit for much of my visit, and I have to say that it is like a sauna bath. How they cope on a daily basis I do not know.
I hope that I have managed to help them get a few things done, but for the moment I am going to keep it all  under wraps, so you will have to put up with something that I made before I left home.
One of the last projects that I managed to finish before the fire, and a trip to Peterboro intervened, were these Corner Bookmarks for the Grandkids to give to their teachers and classroom assistants.
They were all made following a tutorial over at Splitcoast Stampers and use up background papers from my stash as well as some of the very small Lili of the Valley die cuts that I seem to have so many of.
I matched my papers and ribbon to the images and then used my Nesties to matte and layer them.
With Saskia, Ciaran and Reece all in separate classes this year, and each of them having a classroom assistant or helper I hope that 8 will be enough.
More to the point I hope they remembered to give them out since I wasn't there to remind them.
I expect that I will probably find them in a little pile on the dining table when I get home tomorrow, but I am quite prepared to be proved wrong lol.
Another early start tomorrow so I had better get some sleep. I am always their alarm call when I come to stay, so they probably can't wait to get rid of me and get back to a bit of a lie in!!!
Hugs to All
