Something for a Party at Our Creative Corner

Evening Everyone.
I hope that you have had a good day without too much of the wet stuff. It was lovely this morning, but all went pear shaped by late afternoon here at least.
I do love Easel cards but boy are they hard to photograph!!
This is another card that has been made for my friend Lorraine. This time she needed an acceptance card for a Wedding.
The challenge this week at Our Creative Corner is Party where they are looking for a paper craft item related to a Party ie an Invitation, so I thought that this would be the perfect challenge to enter. I hope that a Wedding Acceptance card counts.
I always love the challenge that Lorraine's cards give me. This time classy but with plenty of bling :O)
The central image is an old Stampendous 'Wire Works' stamp. So old I'm afraid that the info has been rubbed off it, sorry.
I stamped and embossed the image onto pale gold pearlized card using gold embossing powder and then decoupaged the heart and doves which I had painted with watercolour Pearlex.
The greeting is from a brand new Hobby Art set Traditional Wedding and I added a DooHickey flower and swirl and plenty of pearls.
All of the panels have been stamped and embossed around the edges using Hero Arts F5042 Leaf Flourish and Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel and then distressed with Antique Linen distress ink.
I delivered the card a couple of days ago and Lorraine carefully tucked it away to keep it out of the rain, I am hoping that she has found where she put it otherwise I will be spending the weekend making another one lol.
Better get to bed now, another Friday awaits.

  2. Hi Kim
I have just been catching up with your blog. There are some lovely sampes as always. Thanks again for standing in for me at Woodware. Your projects were all gorgeous. And I am sorry you felt you had to change your Stamp Man sample as your colours were similar to mine!! Hopefully you can use it for another post. Yes it is uncanny how are styles can be so similar at times!
    Take care,
