A new Sketch at Woodware

Evening Everyone,
Well it looks like my scare tactics might have worked last night, we have had beautiful sunshine here for most of the day lol.
As you know last month I was filling in for Siobhan on the Woodware blog. I have been suffering from severe withdrawal symptoms this week so I thought that I would make a card and enter it into the new sketch challenge for this month.

I created the background to the card and the oval panel by stamping and embossing using versamark ink, white embossing powder and a lovely cling stamp from Stampendous called Garden Background.
I sponged colour all over it using distress inks and then painted the leaves with the same ink.
The oval panel has been cut out with my Nesties and then I have stamped and embossed the section of the stamp with the largest flower on it twice and did a little bit of decoupage. I added some stamen to mirror the ones on the stamped image.
The border has been made using a Martha Stewart punch and a piece of the fabulous ribbon that Woodware sell.
I'm really pleased with how it has turned out, and I hope that it may inspire you to enter the challenge as well.
Now I wonder what the weather will decide to do tomorrow. Just so long as my nice summery creation doesn't scare away the sunshine we will be alright.
