Clarity part 4

Evening Everyone.
Just a quick post with the last of the cards that I made for Barbara's latest TV show.Once again, I'm afraid that the photos are not brilliant, but I do hope that they will at least give you some ideas.I'm never sure about mixing the sets, or adding in extra stamps, and this one just needed a greeting, so I wrote it myself.
Wonderful things Gellyroll Glaze pens. This card combines white embossing and sponged colour on the central panel, with gold embossing on the main card. Add a few mini crystal, flowers, and peel-off dots and Voila!!!
This card again uses white embossing powder and sponging, but also has the image stamped onto the card strips using a versamark ink pad. This time I added co-ordinating flowers and white brads.
This final card also has white embossing and sponging as its central theme but has the addition of a piece of pre-foiled vellum attached with brads. I have also stamped and clear embossed the image over both the background card and central panel.
That's all for tonight guys, got to get a quick bite to eat before I go out.
Lets see if I can keep this up with a post again tomorrow.
Happy Stamping
Love Kimx

  1. Hi Kim

Didn't get to see the show, I'll try to catch a repeat. Your cards are lovely, you have been busy! I love the finishing touches you add to make your cards special.

  2. Hi Kim,

I'm one of Shaz's Stampin' Up groupies, I think we've met once or twice at her place or at shows. I just wanted to say how much I liked your cards on the Clarity show last weekend. They were fabulous stamps but you did amazing things with them. I'm glad you've put them on your blog as a reminder. I especially liked the one with the dark squares in the background. Were they embossed squares, or paper pieces? We only had a fleeting glance on Sunday so it's hard to tell. The end effect was super though.
Keep up the inspiration. Do you take tablets for it? You always seem to come up with original ideas - it beats me how you do it!!
    All the best,
    Judy

  3. Hi Judy, so glad that you liked the cards. Let me know which card you mean (Is it from this post or a previous one) and I will give you more details of how it was made.
I still have the cards from Barbara's previous show to post but I will save them for the mo as I have so much else to share with you all.

  4. Hello again Kim, The card I liked particularly was posted here on 7th Feb - the bottom one with brown squares over the picture stamp. I'd love to know how it was done - I like the square arrangement, it seems to make the main picture look totally different. Thanks very much,

  5. Hi Judy, sorry that it has taken me so long to get back to you but I don't often get the chance to go back through the older posts to see if there are any new comments. Anyway hope you get to read this. The card you were asking after has had the image stamped and embossed onto a piece of black card stock which has then been painted with bleach. Use different size square punches to cut the squares and then stick them back over a second stamped and embossed image, this time stamped onto white card. It is a type of spotlight card, a great way to cover up a mistake or use up parts of an image. Hope this helps and that you are still following me.
